From DAVIDsTEA

A delicacy

Pears are loved around the world. But they are originally from Asia, and have been cultivated there for at least 3000 years. So it’s only logical to savour them with an organic Japanese green sencha. Our blend also contains marigold blossoms and apple, for a sweet, crisp, beautiful tea. It’s perfect for dessert, or as an afternoon treat with a little something sweet.

One of my favourite teas by far! I love green tea and the pear just makes it perfect. It’s a tad bitter, but some honey makes it nice.

I was not happy with this one at all. I didn’t taste any pear nor did I sencha! At first, the smell of it put me right off. I brewed according to the instructions and it was…..not for me. Thank goodness I only bought a small sample of this. I gave it to a friend, who seemed to enjoy it – so there you go, some things you just never know.

Tried it in store and loved the flavour. The pear was so light and refreshing. I was already planning on buying a bunch of other blends so this one didn’t make the cut, but sometime soon I’ll have to buy a small bag.

Yucky…I really wanted to like this. The promise of pear was so enticing. The aroma was ok but on the first sip I could help but think I was sipping from our compost bin.

I love the smell of this tea but I also love that when steeped it isn’t that sweet. I can still taste the green tea in it. Love it!!

Another good iced tea but not so much hot/warm.

This tea smells amazing! And the brewed tea is just as good.

I got a bag of this in the summer, and used it for cold-steeped iced tea. Mmmm, so good!

I was really looking forward to trying this tea as I love pears and apples, but I was really disappointed with it. The pear and apple scent is strong but I found the tea had a somewhat metallic taste, which made it unpleasant to drink and detracted from the light, fruity flavour.

Eww. That’s really all I have to say about this one. I was disappointed greatly when I tried it although I think its because pear might not be my thing.

Sencha Pear, oh my god. I’m not a fan of green tea but that one? Heck yes. It went straight to my heart, warmed my insides and then the tastes hit me in the face. It’s one of those comfort teas I like. I can sit with the mug on my knee and smile because it’s that good. Let it warm you too! It’s worth the try. Apple and pear, while quite subtle tastes, are definitely there.
