A legendary oasis
In 1275, Marco Polo visited the summer residence of the Chinese emperor: the fabled city of Xanadu. Within its walls were meadows, fountains and a golden palace that could be moved at its ruler’s will; some say he placed it wherever the berries and flowers were at their prime. He would have loved this caffeine-free tea of paradise, with its hints of cherry, raspberry, rosehip, elderberry and hibiscus.

I hate that discontinued teas disappear from the Davids Tea website as I have no way of confirming the ingredients list now, but I swear I see rooibos. The things I don’t notoce sometimes..

I have all these teas I’ve been hoarding for way too long, they’re probably close to stale but since I’m not one to throw out something I still deem useable, I am making iced tea out of all the fruity ones.
I think I used to drink this hot but I’m sure it’s much better cold. It’s a deep pink colour and I really taste all the berries! It’s so fruity it tastes like juice! People seem to complain about hibiscus a lot, but I honestly couldn’t tell you what that tastes like, at least, I have sort of an idea but it’s certainly not strong enough to offend my delicate senses.
I wonder if Davidstea will ever bring this back! I give it 2 thumbs up for a juicy summer drink. So flavourful I bet you could even throw some vodka all up in there, get your drank on. Sorry. I went there. Yay Friday!!
Edit I’ve had this tea for so long it has the old school aqua DT label with a cute description, before they were obligated to list the ingredients…. My bag said nothing about rooibos. Couldn’t taste it at all! So my review the other day of the soapy tasting honeybush tea had nothing to do with the temperature!

Taking the last of my precious Xanadu to make iced tea. It’s so hot here! And it’s supposed to get hotter. And I don’t have a fan of any kind. Here’s hoping that some delicious berriness will help beat the heat.
This tea is most amazing iced, and I hope it’s brought back in DAVIDsTEA’s Back From The Dead contest!! I liked it better that Luscious Watermelon, which was the returning favourite in the 2011 Summer Collection. It’s the perfect blend of tart and sweet. The cherry note is lovely.
There is a tang for the first 10 minutes or so (hot tea) but the flavor is deeper/richer than typical fruity teas. I think I prefer this to the Berry Up tea (also from David’s Tea) when hot. But both are lovely iced. The flavor is so berry sweet that you wouldn’t have to add sweetener of any kind.
Well, it is classified as a rooibos tea here on steepster….Also, I am crazy sad that this tea is no longer around, it looks amazing!
I really like this one. Except this cup which is a bit crazy, but so delicious on the aftersip. The berries are really in your face. I feel like I like Bear Trap a lot too, and I think that one is still around?
When I was looking the other day Bear Trap was still there.
