I’m falling behind on my reviews again – this time I have a good excuse! I’ve been busy as there have been a few different things going on. All of the images on our blog had been wiped away permanently, so I’ve been fixing a lot of those – I’m certainly not going to be doing that to all of the 3934 (and counting) blog posts though, so if you happen to come across a post without a photo and in its place that weird broken photo icon … my apologies.
This is a really, really good Oolong. The lemon and ginger don’t overpower the sweet, creamy Oolong base. And there’s a really lovely cookie note too. Just yum!

Wow! I love lemon in tea, I love ginger (I eat a lot of ginger with sushi), and I love cookie!
I want to compare this a little to Buttermilk Lemon from TeaG (I’m not spelling that name), but the ginger really adds quite the zing! to the tea.
Normally I don’t like oolong as a base, but I steeped this a lot shorter, and it doesn’t taste as…well, bad…as it normally does. Like a black would be more overpowering (like in 52Teas’ Lemon Meringue Chai), and this is a lot more subtle. There’s a lot of good things working in this tea, and I think the combination of lemon and ginger and cookie is fantastic!
I should start by pointing out I am not normally a big ginger fan.
That said, this wasn’t bad at all. It is definitely very lemony, and the ginger isn’t too overwhelming. I don’t get a ton of cookie flavor, but that might be ok. It is very light this way. I could see reaching for this if I am feeling under the weather and need something to perk me up. Lovers of ginger would like this a lot more than I, as I wouldn’t repurchase, but I will enjoy what I have.
This is really, really delicious. It starts out with a lot of lemon and then there’s a little bit of ginger. I almost missed the reference to cookies, because hot this isn’t much like them, but the aftertaste is delayed and sweet like iced sugar cookies. Yum! As it cools there’s more ginger and more sweetness, and I might even like it better iced.
