49 Tasting Notes
My awesome sr. cataloger handed a bag of this off to me to try. I feel distinctly meh about it. It tasted kind of odd for vanilla, it’s almost more chocolate-y. Thinking about chocolate helped it go down easier than not being able to place the flavor, but it was a particularly strange flavor. Probably wouldn’t buy a box of this. Or really try it again. That said, I finished the cup so it wasn’t outright bad. Just not inspired to come back to it.
When I need an earl grey, I turn to this one every time when it’s an option. The flavorings are not overwhelming, allowing the tea to come through, but they’re there and distinguished. Hints of tangerine & lime provide some additional interesting notes. Love this tea!
A friend brought this back from London for me. It’s been a long time since I had this much good tea at my disposal. Drinking it with cream & a small package of raw sugar. It’s a nice, well rounded cuppa. Not knock me out of my socks to die for, but a steadfast companion to get me through a busy Friday morning.
Preparation
I tend not to be a fruit-y taste tea person. My friend bought this tea for me and I admit when I first saw the box I kinda rolled my eyes. At the moment it’s the tea I turn to at work. I love the pretty little silky bags that I can see the tea through, and despite initial fears, I found the fruit delicate and faintly sweetens the green.
