65 Tasting Notes
This smelled AMAZING when I first opened the sample packet. The description online sounded like something I’d like, and I wasn’t wrong. I think I oversteeped it a bit, because it’s a little more astringent than I thought it would be, but overall it’s good. It reminds me of the “Lust” perfume at Lush, which is my daily wear.
Flavors: Flowers, Jasmine, Sweet

This isn’t bad. Very, very floral and slightly tart. Definitely taste the jasmine and rose petals with a hint of orange (I had the biggest chunk of dried orange in the bag for this cup!). I don’t know if I buy the idea that this will do anything to “purify” my skin, but it’s a nice citrus floral that I would definitely drink again. I bet it would be even better iced.
Flavors: Citrus, Floral, Grapefruit, Jasmine, Orange, Rose

I was a little nervous about this one because I generally don’t like anything with “creme” in the title. And I’ve never met a rooibos that I liked. Why did I even buy this? Oh, yeah,. I had a Teavana gift card and this was new.
Literally typing this review as I try it.
Plain: No thank you. Won’t be doing that again.
With two Splenda: Not the worst. I’ll finish out the cup, but this one is going in my donation pile. I’ll send it to anyone who wants it.
In both instances, I don’t taste any lavender at all. Just rooibos and fakey vanilla.
Update: Yeah, I’m not finishing this. Blech.

My Tuesday sipdown continues!
I had a bad experience with genmaicha once. One of my friends most aptly described it as tasting like old Thai food.
This particular genmaicha? It’s not bad. Definitely better than the last stuff. I think I’d like it if I made it a bit stronger. I went with the 1.25 tsp serving suggestion on the bag.
I added two splenda to it after taking a few sips of it plain. It now reminds me of the bowl of white rice, milk, and sugar my grandma used to make me when I was sick as a kid. Super pleasant.
Flavors: Grass, Toasted Rice

This is my third cup of tea today so far, and I kinda wish it was my third cup of just this tea. SO GOOD. Someone in my office was eating something blueberry, so my cravings led me to this in my tea drawer. Almost totally sweet enough black, but I put in one Splenda because I was looking for something super sweet. Totally hitting the spot.
Side note, I also had the Quangzhou Milk Oolong from David’s today, but the page for it won’t let me leave a review? Frustrating. That was super good, too. Didn’t even need sugar. :)

WHERE HAS THIS BEEN ALL MY LIFE
I usually hate teas that have vanilla or maple-y flavors, but this is super good. I wouldn’t have bought it if I hadn’t read some of the reviews on here, so thanks, y’all. I had tried it plain, then added a little sweetener and cream and it was perfection.
Flavors: Cardamom, Maple Syrup, Vanilla

I had a Teavana gift card to spend and couldn’t decide what to get. The woman behind the counter suggested this after I said I needed a new tea for my new job. I wasn’t sure about it (and, honestly, wasn’t feeling well and just wanted to get home), but nothing else was grabbing me, so I went with it.
It’s good. It’s just sweet enough. Slightly more caffeine than I was looking for, but I’d buy it again. My only complaint is that there’s way too much apple!
Flavors: Apple, Mango

Found this at TJ Maxx. I used to work at Starbucks and thought I knew all of the Tazo teas, but apparently not! I’d never heard of this one before. It’s kind of weird, but it’s a weird that I like. It’s green tea with rose and cherry flavors. (Ingredients: green tea, rose petals, rose hips, natural flavor, blackberry leaves) The rose is much more pronounced than the cherry, for sure. I don’t see myself finishing this tin, so if anyone wants a couple sachets, let me know!
