Didn’t really like this one, I thought it had a very strange aftertaste and it was bitter even if brewed with water under the boiling point.

This is a great oolong, but less fruity and sweet than I thought it would be based on Verdant’s description.

I brewed this gong fu style as Verdant recommends. It’s very tasty but I feel like after 3 infusions it loses a lot of it’s sweet flavour. I find it special because it tastes like caramel without any flavouring added to it.

I love genmaïcha. This one is very tasty, but I feel like the added matcha doesn’t add as much flavour as I was expecting. I’d have to compare it side by side with a “normal” genmaïcha. Still, I like it a lot and it has a balanced flavour between the green tea and the toasted rice.

This is a very unusual green tea for me because i’m used to ones with a very vegetal taste. This one has a more earthy taste with notes of chocolate. I could pick up similarities between the green and black versions of the Laoshan tea. I prefer the black one though.

This is my first jasmine tea. When I opened the bag, I found the smell of the dry leaves not very appealing. I don’t know why but in my mind jasmine smelt totally different from this. I remember having jasmine green tea at a restaurant a few years ago and maybe my memories got messed up.

But now that I have had this tea several times, I find that it is very light and soothing. Brewing this gong fu style seems to be the best way to enjoy this as it tastes better when infused for a very short amount of time. It also holds up very well for several infusions (at least 5 in my experience).

This tea was nice, but I prefer Genmaicha over this because it has a vegetal taste that contrasts with the roasted flavour. I found Houjicha to be less interesting, but it is still very good.

This one was good, it didn’t wow me but I think it would be something nice to try if you’re a big drinker of dessert teas. It seems to be one of the better ones at Davidstea.

I brewed this tea following Den’s tea instructions (2 grams of tea in 3 oz water for 1 min) and it was just perfect. It’s a really sweet green tea with no bitterness at all. It was very flavourful and I enjoyed it a lot.

I also tried brewing it using 2 grams of tea in 6 oz water and it was still sweet and delicious but not as flavourful.

I started drinking tea only a few years ago and I enjoy it because there are so many different kinds to try. I love to step out of my comfort zone and taste a wide variety of flavours. I am very curious about the different types of tea and how they are processed. I also appreciate traditional or antique teaware.

This is how I rate teas:
100 : Extraordinary delicious
81-99 : Very good, I enjoy it a lot
66-80 : Good, but not in my favorites
51-65 : Ok, not impressed
36-50 :Disappointing but it isn’t bad
16-35 : I don’t enjoy drinking it
0-15 : Absolutely disgusting, I can’t drink it

In addition to being a tea drinker, I am a foodie, a traveler, an historical junkie, a geek that loves to play video games, a bookworm and a cat lover :)

English isn’t my first language so I hope I’m not butchering it too much!
