55 Tasting Notes
I picked this tea up from Palais de The when I was wondering around Grafton Street. I love really any black tea based Early Grey, so I was very excited for this. I must say, this is not my favourite tea. I think it may have to do with the fact that it has a Yunnan base (I prefere Ceylon or Darjeeling), but I did enjoy the bergamot (you could definitely tell it was there). I’ve had it twice now, and steeped it the full five minutes. I may try 3.5-4 minutes to see how it turns out then.
Preparation
Because I’ve had a terrible night/day (thank you, roommates), I’ve been drinking boatloads of tea to stay awake. This is usually one of my favourite teas, but I somehow made the perfect cup. It’s like drinking an Earl Grey flavoured cloud. Take that, stupid undergrads!
Preparation
While I was at home for Christmas, I had this tea every day in the morning. I brought 100g of it back with me, but I can’t have a cup every day if I want it to last! I don’t know why, but this tea is amazing if you have a sore throat. The mint and vanilla make a very relaxing (but still energising) combination, so amazing!!
Preparation
This is a good, basic vanilla tea. I would have liked for the vanilla taste to be a bit more present, but it’s still a great tea. It’s not overly sweet, and I tried it with one sugar (and one milk). Will add more tasting notes with more cups!
Preparation
I LOVE this tea!! (I will admit I’m a sucker for anything Earl Grey-related) The berries compliment the bergamot perfectly, and it’s a great tea to have at any time of the day. I’ve found that I prefer it with both milk and a sugar cube, but it is sweet enough on its own (depending on my mood). I would recommend this for anyone who likes Earl Grey, breakfast tea, or anything fruity!
Preparation
This is a really nice tea! I find the smell to be a tad on the strong side, but it definitely has a more mellow taste to it. It has the perfect amount of red velvet for me! I had a little bit of film on top with the first cup, but less so with the second (I didn’t do anything differently), so I will keep experimenting!
Preparation
This is an amazing tea!! It smells wonderfully of peppermint, but isn’t overwhelming, and the same goes for taste! My throat has been a little sore and it has been a perfect remedy. I think it would also be a good winter tea, not just for the holidays. I would recommend this to any tea drinker!
Preparation
I was pleasantly surprised by this tea. The cranberry was definitely present but not overwhelming. I think this would be a perfect tea for the afternoon, when you don’t need quite as much of a punch. I think I’ll also try it with brown sugar!
