17 Tasting Notes
Love this. So much that after I received my sample from darby (thank you!) I ran to DT and got my own bag. It’s delicious! Brings happy feelings similar to a warmed up chocolatey dessert. I don’t find this to be overly sweet or overly chocolatey. It’s delicious on a winter’s night!
This reminds me a whole lot like Aveda’s Comfort Tea, probably due to the licorice. I got this on a recommendation from a DT salesgirl and I’m glad I got just 1 oz. only because I still own over half a box of the Aveda tea. I’m not sick and this is definitely something I would enjoy any night.
Edited to add: I think that the licorice, depending on the sip, can vary in strength and that sip may not always be so pleasant. Hard to explain but I found that around the middle of my cup I had some bad sips and some good sips. I’m in the middle with this one!
I had a good feeling I was going to like this. I was looking for a mate tea to try and I picked this up on a whim at DT based on the description. I love honey anything so this was a pleasant treat for me. It’s light on the honey while straight but I added some sugar and it brought the honey flavor to life. I would’ve added honey if I had that. I really don’t taste anything added to the honey like others have tasted. I’m pretty pleased with this one!!
I was thinking about ordering this but was afraid it would taste too much like rooibos as I’m not a fan of that…..what do you think?
To me, this tastes like sweet honey tea. I don’t exactly know what it is about Roobios that people don’t like or notice right away. What kind of taste is it that you don’t like? I think it’s worth a try :)
I knew I was going to love this when I first opened the bag. It smelled like chocolate mint heaven. This is tea? I was so excited to try this!
After steeping I waited til it was cooled down a bit to enjoy it. Love the minty aftertaste and the chocolate flavor is perfect. I added some vanilla almond milk to amp up the yummy flavor. I tried it without sugar for a bit but then I’m like, “what the hell” and added a teaspoon in. It developed just a little more of that sweetness that I wanted. It’s surely satisfying enough for any hot cocoa craving.
I also want to add that the end of the cup is amazing. Has some leftover sugar down there that didn’t get blended and it’s the perfect ending treat.
Yum yum yum! I brewed this last night and forgot to log it. it was extremely enjoyable! At first sniff, the dry notes were creamy vanilla. Like a pastry. Definitely a foodie vanilla. I wasn’t sure if the scent would follow through after brewing but it surely didn’t disappoint.
I added a touch of vanilla almond milk and a little german rock sugar and it was capital T Tasty! Not too sweet, even with the added sweet stuff. Just perfect!
