12 Tasting Notes
This tea is seriously good! I’ve made some big purchases from David’s teas lately and this is one of my favorites so far. It’s just so smooth and comforting with the chocolate and raspberry. The chocolate and raspberry favors are spot on, no artificial taste.
I will defiantly be re ordering more when I’m out…so good
Preparation
In the bag the tea is so pretty with the gold balls. Love the shimmer of the tea once brewed… so pretty. I was expecting more cinnamon and spice flavor but was pleasantly surprised that it has a subtle flavor of cinnamon, orange, and a touch of clove. It’s a super smooth black tea and I really enjoyed it.
Preparation
Pick this up at a whim when I was shopping at Trader Joe’s. In the tin the leaves are nice and big and you can see a little bits of lemongrass and coconut. The flavor is very earthy and grassy, slightly bitter with just a hint of the coconut and lemongrass, it says it has ginger too but I can’t really detect the ginger.
Overall it’s an okay tea easy to drink, not the best ever but still drink definitely drinkable. I probably won’t repurchase it but I will definitely drink the rest of what I have.
Preparation
Enjoying this right now as an after dinner treat. Makes a great dessert tea. Out of the bag it smells super rich and sweet but it brews up with a hint of fruitiness that balances the sweetness out really nicely.
Really like this one, I like to add a bit of sugar to enhance the sweetness.
Preparation
smelled great out of the package, loved the vibrant lime. After steeping, even the smell was off putting, and it tasted just like it. The lime only comes thru slightly at the end, and it’s overwhelming with ginger (not a huge fan of in your face ginger), overall I’m not sure If I’ll be able to finish the cup and defiantly won’t be re-purchasing.
Preparation
I meant to steep this for the recommended 5 min, but I accidentally steeped it for 7 min. This tea smelled wonderful out of the bag, like sweet blueberries and just a hint of earthy sage. After brewing for 7 min, I was surprised how dark this brewed. I have never seen a tea brew this dark luscious red color, it was beautiful and made me want to drink it right away. At first sip you definitely taste the blueberries and maybe a bit of cherry and then later you catch a bit of sage and rosemary. I like the flavor combinations a lot, but I didn’t like the tart taste at the end. About half way thru the cup I decided to put a little sugar in it and wow, that made a big difference. It took the tea from a 5 to a 8 right away. This has a nice thick mouth feel, I really enjoyed it.
After trying it with some sugar I think I will probably buy it someday. I love the deep dark red color and can’t help but think it is chalked full of anti-oxidents from the berries.
Preparation
First smell after brewing this tea, it’s a very pale yellow/ green color and it smells very earthy like grass and artichokes. The taste is very smooth, the mouth feel is very nice. Tastes sweet and just like artichokes to me with a bit of an acidic aftertaste.
Preparation
It has a very authentic cherry flavor and the dried honey adds just the right bit of sweetness and flavor. You can defiantly taste the chamomile and it blends with the cherry flavor quite nice. The box says it has toasted almonds, I can smell a hit of almonds but I can’t really taste it. Overall it’s a nice tea, easy to drink I might buy it again.
