19 Tasting Notes
Shout out to Starfevre for this sample.
My exact text to my girlfriend upon receiving the package of samples that Starfevre sent read as follows: “Holy goodness moly this freaking matcha smells so good my dear Lord.”
That also about sums up how excited I am about trying matcha.
I only have vanilla almond milk, and contemplated getting normal milk so I can get a better idea of the flavor, but this blends so nicely. It’s so tasty! I was expecting some horrible mistake made on my part to take place, making the latte taste terrible, but it was simple to do and tastes great. I’m really excited to dig into the rest of these samples.
Can’t wait to start my own matcha collection as well.
I was super excited to try this tea due to the high ratings it has among my fellow Steepsterites. Sad story though. I had just made some noodles and doused it with hot sauce (I’m visiting China this summer, so I’m trying to get used to eating hot food with chopsticks) and couldn’t taste the tea too well. I’m real excited to steep it later though.
From what I could tell, it was smooth and had a hint of chocolate. I’ll update the rating as soon as I try it again.
Dang. This is some good tea. Joined the tea of the month club for a free month, and of course cancelled when my order came in. IMA BOUT DAT COLLEGE LYFE.
Anyways, I’ll definitely be ordering from Verdant again soon. Actually, I did a few days ago. Their website is killer. So much detail on each tea, and they have high Steepster ratings.
I found that this is very hard to describe. That being the case, I’ve came to one word that I think does the job: smooth. That’s just it, this is a really smooth tea. I don’t know what else to say.
Really solid oolong. Can’t wait for my other order to come in!
Not a bad tea at all! Came in the catalog that Republic of Tea sent me. It’s really weird to describe, but the blood orange and cranberry isn’t really a flavor that sticks out. The aroma is definitely there, but the taste is very very subtle.
Very good sample. I might consider buying this one.
Nope. This sucks. I love coffee, chocolate, and all the stuff that this claims to taste like. I keep thinking that the more I try it, the more I’ll like it. Not whatsoever. Almost every time I try it, it makes me a bit sick to my stomach.
After saying all of this, I’m sure everyone is wanting to try. Even though that is completely unlikely, I’m willing to send the rest of this to someone else. Who knows, maybe you’ll love it. Let me know.
As for me, I will not be buying this again.
White tea is so dadgum good. Peaches are as well. Those facts mixed in with my love for blooming tea easily explains my love for this tea. Thankfully, the lady at Teavana slipped in a few extra balls for good measure. God bless her soul. I told myself that I’d save most of these to share with my girlfriend, but found myself drinking it by myself secretly. It’s that good.
Really smooth blend and the peach isn’t overbearing. I’m looking forward to buying more.
Preparation
This is one of my favorite teas. It was the first taste I ever had of Art of Tea, and caused me to buy multiple samples, most of which I liked quite a bit. The aroma of this one alone is enough to make you want to buy it.
Go get it. It’s smooth and tasty. One of the best oolongs I’ve ever had.
