237 Tasting Notes
So knowing now what I didn’t know before I dumped a shallow davids perfect tea spoon into the strainer and steeped it for the lowest recommended time.
Really want to love this tea since it smells so lovely.
Earl Grey suddenly becomes sexy in DT’s hands.
When brewed it smells more regular but has a lovely creamy disposition with that pinch of vanilla and is a richly honey colored drink.
This tea smells of wonderfully superior ingredients while keeping the classic Grey profile.
Taste is totally creamy with a passionate (but delicate) kiss of vanilla and bergamot.
This is definitely a great earl grey experience. It’s lovely and delicate nothing is overpowering or false tasting. It is creamy and sexy.If you are looking for a less boring earl grey with pronounced sex appeal..this is it.
Preparation
So I decided to try more Oolongs from DT.
Since they had so many cake themed teas this month I ordered this as well.
Can’t really decide on the smell…it doesn’t smell like carrot cake but smells subtly fruity a bit toasty and very earthy.
Is a lovely golden color …blonde even.
Doesn’t taste like carrot cake to me..but isn’t unpleasant either.
It has a bit of tartness and smokiness.
You can taste the apple which I like.
It’s a decent tea but I doubt I would buy it again.I’m going to give it to my bff and fellow tea-hound lindairvine.
I LOVE citrus in anything and everything so I was super excited about DT doing a whole line just for citrus addicts like me!
I never felt like they had enough citrus variety or it just wasn’t strong enough or too strong in a wellness tea kind of way.
This smells just lovely the oil of Tangerine really doing it’s part to come through and tickle me with just a low toasty note that really accents the citrus in an interesting way.
Taste is decent and citrusy but doesn’t blow me away.
The toasty notes are alright but maybe they take away from the citrus experience I wanted.
This will be good green tea cupboard stock until it runs out.
Don’t think I’ll buy again though unless I warm up to it in the future.
Preparation
So just got my DavidsTea parcel today and my first try will be this interesting tea.
It smells exactly like chocolate ice cream.
It brews thick and foggy a light caramel color with sediment on the top and bottom.
I actually really like this!
it’s like an unsweetened watery hot chocolate or chocolate ice cream melted which is actually quite pleasant and not so hard on the teeth or caloric intake.
It’s not as overwhelming as I thought it would be for a gimmicky tea.
Picked up a 26g sampler of this today.
This smells EXACTLY like a Terry’s Chocolate Orange.
When measuring it out the chocolate curls are obvious, charming and completely enticing.
The Lemon rinds to my utter joy are also prolific and zesty.
Once steeped it’s a rich darker caramel color and smells about the same if a bit subdued.
Tastes earthy and rich but it’s not overpowering but it is the first impression I get.
The smoky texture immediately changes into the aftertaste of a Chocolate Orange on my tongue.
Overall it’s a pleasant tea but it is the taste shadow of the chocolate orange and not the full flavor I tend to hope for in my gimmick teas.
However there are so many glowing reviews on here so I will try it again and fuss with my preparation.
Hints are VERY much welcomed!
Saucy review! hah
Thank you! Lol
