10 Tasting Notes
Someone said that this reminded them of coffee. While it doesn’t taste like coffee at all, it brews up to a similar color and there is in fact something about the flavor that could satisfy a coffee drinker (I know because I am a coffee addict). That said, it is still a dessert tea and it definitely does taste like both chocolate and hazelnut. I’m not sure if I would compare it to nutella, but maybe I would if I were into adding sugar to my tea. I had it with just a splash of milk and I think it might be my favorite tea at the moment.
Preparation
As others have mentioned, the rooibos is the predominant flavor, though there is a mellow vanilla and a mellow cinnamon presence. They are just in the background is all. I ordered 100 bags of this over Amazon without ever having tried it before and at first I was regretting my decision. I think the sarsaparilla gives it a weird smell when it is dry. However, once I tried it brewed, I liked it fine and over the past six months or so, it has grown on me. So, will all 100 bags be used? I think so. But, will I be buying this one again? Probably not. It is good enough, but there are other tisanes out there that I prefer to this one.
Preparation
I was given this tea as a gift for Christmas last year and I have been slowly savoring it. I’m now down to my last four sachets. I take it unsweetened with a little milk and it is perfect. The bergamot taste is perfectly strong without being too much. I’ll miss this tea when I finish it.
This tea is pretty good, but I was expecting a little less of the grassy green tea taste and a little more fruit. I find the fruit flavors to be subtle though it is definitely present. I have been drinking it as is without any sweetener. It is far from being a favorite of mine, but I have been enjoying it well enough.
Preparation
This tea is really nothing fancy but it is delicious all the same. I like it steeped for about a minute and a half. Two minutes is fine too, but any longer than that and the tannins take over. I then sweeten it with a 1/4 tsp of sugar and a splash of whole milk.
Preparation
I bought a four ounce tin of this a few weeks ago and I can’t stop drinking it. It is an excellent dessert tea. That said, I taste mostly black currant, vanilla, and caramel. The bergamot is there, but barely. I have been drinking this with a splash of whole milk and nothing else. I can definitely see myself buying more of this in the future.
