Unmistakably blueberries. The leaves look very delicately rolled, and this goes great with my morning cereal of Kashi Autumn Wheat with dried blueberries. I can usually get two steepings, but any more is stretching it.
I forgot I had a sampler tin of this! Love the roasty chestnut flavor. I need to get more into Japanese green teas that aren’t genmaicha or the matcha they serve at sushi places I go to.
I have no idea why, but I impulsively ate a sour Warhead right before the leaves finished steeping. The lingering berry taste was actually a nice addition to this robust tea. It’s pricey though — almost 20 bucks for two ounces.
