Slight ratings bump. It’s even better with milk, and properly boiled water (had the office hot water filter before). No sugar added and it didn’t need any. So good… but potentially so bad for my health… darn you vague ingredients!!!

A friend gave this to me for Christmas. It smells like perfume, though not in an unpleasant way. Kindof intense. so much that the fruit seems to be overtaken by the floral aspect. Sadly, I’m not a big fan of the way the floral translates into taste. I might try underleafing it next time. Or steeping for less time. Witholding a rating for now. I have a ton of this. As well, over time I know the scent will dissipate so I’m sure it will mellow out!

Definitely vegetal with a nice soft yet delicate base. Not as crisp as white peony, but there is a slight clear mineralish tinge that I really enjoy. Definitely a mood tea. I quite enjoyed this. Only two infusions and I forgot to write down my notes.

Also, the leaves were made dragonwell style, super flat and long. Very pretty!

So I have a ton of this left over, and had promised my friends a tea mocktail. It was easy enough to do! Matcha, OJ, and some fizzy water. Perrier, but I used no-name last time, at home, and it was fine.
I was worried that they would all hate it. But to my surprise, everyone asked for more!
My friend’s boyfriend is Japanese, and knows matcha well enough to offer a true critique… I was most concerned about his opinion haha.
In the end, he delivered kindof a compliment. Apparently the tea was how you would expect OJ and Matcha to taste, only far better. Hey, I’ll take that as a win :D
This was a brunch event, so a few people added prosecco, and they said it was pretty good. I added some bluberry wine and that was a great pairing as well, though the berryness dominated the blend somewhat.
Ahhhh. Tea shared makes for a happy day!!

Also? I now have a giant tea thermos courtesy of the gift steal. Oh and my gift caused the recipient to literally squeal, which made me pretty gleeful heheeee (a micro drone. $25 at walmart!!)

Very intense on the coconut. and a bit floral. I enjoyed the cup. However I felt the balance was off. Not scratchy at all, like many coconut teas. However… other coconut teas I’ve tried had more of a green tea presence, and I miss that here. Still very good. Maybe I’ll make rice with it one day :)

I needed comfort tea today. On a whim I gave this a little rinse, and steeped it for maybe three minutes and added milk, a splash of coffee and some sugar. Now this is what a coffee puerh blend should be! SO GOOD. David’s tea, take note. No fish note or overly strong flavours. Perfectly creamy cocoa coffee. Mmmmm. Will see what I do with the next infusion…

This was tasty. I Definitely peachy, and rather tart in some sips and super sweet in others. A little fake tasting. I’d buy a cup to go maybe or keep a sampler around

Hmmm definitely a white tea. and there is something reminiscent of cranberry, though more like the dried fruit, not the juice or fresh fruit. The bamboo is hanging around as well and offers a nice body to the blend, however I would have preferred it without, so that I could taste the crispness of the white.
Once the cup cools, a fresh sweetness emerges, almost like honeysuckle. It lingers for a long time in the aftertaste!!
High marks given for a much deeper level of complexity than I anticipated

I swear I’ve reviewed this one before.
Funny, I looooove this tea, and yet a rather similar tea, albeit from a different company, is one I find overly cloying and thick tasting. Main differences are that the other one is an herbal and has artificial ingredients. Now, I’m not generally a huge white tea person (lately, that can change!). But I’m wondering what would happen if I added white or green to the other one. I’ve got tons in my cupboard so need to use it all up. Hmmm!
Or blended these two together.
Anyhow. I really love how this one is so reminiscent of tart strawberries, and pairs so perfectly with the white base. It isn’t the first time I’ve fallen in love with a white strawberry tea, though the first time was organic, and had a much more delicate feel to it. Oh how I miss that tea!!
