Seriously- when you have to spend the whole day craming for finals, some light flowery/fruity tea is just not going to cut it. The richness and powerfull punch this tea gives is something i was in serious need of today. I was able to steep it twice and it was just as good the second time around. It is usually hard for this tea to disapoint me.

I usually stick to the basic teas because I am trying to learn about tea in general and figure you should start with the fundamentals, but I was browsing Adagio’s and I think it was a combination of it being spring and drinking a lot of Black tea lately that I just decided to order some of this. It is pretty fantastic, the cranberry has the perfect amount of power to balance the tea itself. You can’t distinctly taste the citrus flavors because I think they have blended with the cranberry so well that it creates one over-arching flavor note… i def recomend checking this out.

I enjoyed this, which I was kind of surprising. Normally I like a strong flavored tea- so I typically stay away from whites, but I was feeling adventurous and felt like my afternoon should be accompanied by something light. It didn’t have too strong of floral notes whic I can appreciate, just nice and light, all I can really say :)

So. I have a little beef with Tazo. They have their new “whole leaf” thing, this bag of tea is gigantic, its enough for a whole pot of tea. Why waste soo much tea. plus it messes with how long i used to steep a single bag. The cup I’m drinking now is pretty bitter and I was looking forward to a good cuppa for my poor sore throat :(

I, too, have a beef w/ them- they took away the only tea I ever drank there cuz they don’t have a whole leaf version. I definitely see your point but there was a time when bags where stinkin wimpy so I guess that’s a good problem to have. You could always take a pocket scale w/ you and weigh one before telling the barista what size and how many bags you want.

Well I got this cup from Starbucks, so it was already bagged. Tazo is trying to hop on the whole-leaf train but they just made the leaves in bigger pieces, lets emphasis ‘pieces’ and just added more of the pieces to the satches. Good thought but I don’t live anywhere close to a tea house or coffee shop that actually has loose leaf tea, they just do the ‘whole leaf’ thing in larger satches…

Cofftea

Yeah, the sachet saves you from having to bring in your own infuser, that’s the only difference between that and loose leaf.

It’s like a kick in the face of ginger, I was expecting a little more lemon flavor, but added some honey and it sort of balanced the flavors out.

have been drinking this non-stop for two days because I have a head cold. Of what I can taste of it, with the addition of honey, it’s very soothing. I like that it is a really smokey- but plain flavor.

So this was a new experience for me. I now understand the whole ‘chocolate notes’ thing. It was a pretty smokey taste with a chocolatey after taste. I am pretty sure I enjoyed it, haha. I think I will have to try it a couple more times, maybe make the water a little hotter.

pretty average cup this morning. Just letting the bag steep while I sip on the rest, when it comes to teas like this the longer it sits the more bitter, which at times I find really enjoyable.

Normally I am not one for flowery tea, but when it comes to this tea and the addition to lemon, I am pretty fond of it. The tulsi makes it a really smooth cup of tea and drinking it this time of year really makes it feel like spring.

This is one that I will have to try. I am really enjoying the tulsi blends that I have tried, and I love teas I’ve tried from the Tao of Tea.
