From The Tao of Tea

Tulsi with hints of lemony flavor makes a great combination. We chose 100% organic Australian Lemon Myrtle for the blend because it had the perfect strength to balance the brew. Complemented with the fragrant sweetness of calendula flowers.
Caffeine free.

Known as Holy Basil (Ocimum sanctum), Tulsi is a sacred plant from India used in traditional Ayurvedic medicine. Tulsi is considered an ‘elixir of life’ providing alchemy to one’s well being.

This is really nice. I love the way the slightly peppery, slightly minty tones of the tulsi marry with the lemony notes of the lemon myrtle. And I don’t usually notice much flavor from marigold petals but, I can taste a slight floral tone here. It is herbaceous without tasting too medicinal (maybe a tad medicinal, but not in an off-putting way) Everything is very pleasant and gentle. It’s very soothing. The more I sip it, the more I like it.

I’m drinking this one luke-warm. It’s nice. It’s pleasant. The lemon flavor is soothing and juicy – not tart or puckery. The tulsi is perfectly done. The marigold flavors are a nice addition. Not bitter or overly floral. Just straight-up…NICE!

Normally I am not one for flowery tea, but when it comes to this tea and the addition to lemon, I am pretty fond of it. The tulsi makes it a really smooth cup of tea and drinking it this time of year really makes it feel like spring.

This is one that I will have to try. I am really enjoying the tulsi blends that I have tried, and I love teas I’ve tried from the Tao of Tea.
