It has been a minute since I have reviewed any teas, so as I sat here at my desk, I figured I would review the tea in front of me. Novus teas are pretty good; they’re not necessarily my first choice, but they are offered in the kitchenettes at work for me, with a large variety. I have tried just about all of the teas that we have. This one is my favorite – or one of my favorites – from that bunch. It’s very floral and isn’t too much in the morning. However, what I have noticed with this brand in general is that almost all of them are VERY temperamental with heat. I’m not sure if this has anything to do with their packaging or blend, but we only have a few settings at work for hot water – pretty much a button press – so if the water gets hot enough, the tea can often taste burnt. While knowing temp & steeping time can be important for tea drinkers, I’ve only run into a few teas in the past that were actually that affected by it. So that is often a turn off for me with this brand. If we had like an electric tea kettle/water heater at work, the experience may not be so bad.

This tea is absolutely heavenly. I just took on a new role at work with another team, and as we were clearing out the office to make space for me, we found a batch of unused wild huckleberry tea, still good, still smelled delicious. Honestly, I would say its sweetness in smell is akin to like a cobbler, even.

I had this tea with a small splash (very minimal) of vanilla almond milk yesterday, and it was delicious. I am sad to know that there are only a few teabags of this left, so I do plan on buying my own when that time comes.

drank Fuze Unsweetened Tea by Fuze

There’s a caveat to my recommendation, and that is, I would recommend this as a tea, if Fuze canned teas were one of the few things around that weren’t water for you to drink. In my case, the lemon one is probably more enticing than this one, but I don’t see that listed on the site. At any rate, I will sometimes get one of these while at work, because they’re readily available in the refrigerators here. It is good, but it is also a canned drink. So perhaps there are tea snobs that won’t find it quite like the tea experience they prefer. Either way, I am drinking one now, so I felt it was fitting to leave a review to say, it is cold and fine to drink, but it’s not something you might fawn over.

So I don’t know what temperature and amount (truly) that the place I’ve ordered this tea from does it, so that’s why some details below are missing for my review. However, I do know that in swapping out my coffees in the morning for a medium fog tea, I have been asking for teas /other/ than earl grey. At first it was because the café was out of said tea, but now it’s out of curiosity.

There is a shelf full of teas from Two Leaves that I keep eyeing, so finally I took a chance yesterday morning. This tea as a fog was very smooth and even. It was a relaxing way to start my morning and smelled divine. Since trying it at the café, I’m definitely going to look into purchasing a box of my own when I run out of some of my personal stock.

Granted, I haven’t had this tea on its own, but I have had it as a fog tea. It is the tea that the café at my work uses when they make a fog tea for me in the morning (I always manage to get there when they’re out of earl grey). It is very smooth and nice. A wonderful start to my day when I don’t make my own cup in the morning.

If you are sick, a squeeze of lemon and a drop of honey is perfect for your sinuses. This is primarily what I turn to this tea for. Which is why it’s a lower rating – I’m just not big on peppermint as a go-to flavor. My husband prefers this tea over all others when he’s sick.

Served cold, these bottled teas are very refreshing in the summer. Though I try to limit myself to one a or two a week. The one thing that I do notice (that may be specific to the diet one) is there is something either in the flavor or a carbonation that makes it not very smooth. But it’s still a great drink I’d recommend.

As a first kombucha, this one was pretty good! The flavor was nice and it was smooth, but I would certainly like to see what else is out there.

When it gets to be autumn and winter, I have a few flavor combinations that always bring me to a comfortable place: apple/apple pie is one of them. Which is why I adore the cinnamon apple spice blend! It smells so heavenly and it’s actually pretty sweet without being overly so or offputting to those of us who may not actually have a sweet tooth. By now, you may see in my reviews that I enjoy adding honey to teas. This one is definitely one of them – not because it needs it, but because I can never resist with a flavor combination like this one.

I do not really drink black tea on its own, or at all. But this is the best black tea to use for iced sweet tea – Southern style. Just steep it (or use a tea maker), and then add your sugar in the pitcher and pop it in the fridge. Once it’s cooled down and you pour it over some ice, it’s the perfect flavor combination to take you home.

I love tea. I used to be more obsessed with coffee, but in recent years, tea has stolen my heart and almost completely replaced coffee. I hope you enjoy my reviews of the many teas I drink.
