Following my morning citrus craving, I’m going for an easy orange-chamomile bag tonight. You’re right, Martin. It’s basically chamomile tea and a poor one at that. The orange is there, though, but only as a tangy layer. Is there something else in this bag? I’m picking up an herbal taste and smell.

Flavors: Floral, Herbaceous, Tangy

Preparation
Boiling 8 min or more 8 OZ / 236 ML

Unfortunately, I have no idea if something else is in. Google doesn’t help either.

Aparently not in sale anymore, but it used to me very common tea. And – naturally, from huge bags pack.

So, Chamomile + Orange, maybe it will work better than Vanilla?

Nope. Orange in aroma is gone. As well in taste. It is basic common chamomile tea. Sad, yet expected.

I expected this to be a black flavoured tea but it turns out this is a hibiscus/herbal tea. I had it with vanilla soy milk, but couldn’t taste the fruits or hibiscus at all. It is a low grade bagged ea that could very well be old, so I don’t know if it is just not a flavourful blend/doesn’t come through with milk or if it is just old.

Tastes exactly like a vitamin C tablet. But sweeter. Though I added honey, so that could be why. Good if you like strong orange flavours, but perhaps a little potent for me.

Tonight I headed to a German cafe that is near my hostel in UB to get some work done and have a light dinner. I decided to have a pot of tea in the late afternoon before dinner, and I chose this one out of the tea box based on the recommendation of my waitress. I knew it was a fruit tea and I decided if I was going to have a tea bag I would at least have something that wouldn’t matter so much if it was fine pieces.

It certainly smells like sweet raspberry and bright lemon, and it brewed up a bright, ruby red. I suppose I should have known there was hibiscus in it, but I didn’t think about it. According to the google-translated ingredients, it has both hibiscus and rosehips, so a double dose of tart. As such I dumped the little tube of sugar provided right into the pot. I happen to love hibiscus, as long as it’s sweetened. I could maybe go for a little more sugar for the whole pot, but on the whole it is nice. Tart, slightly sweet, with a nice raspberry flavor. I feel like the tartness of the hibiscus kind of melds with the tartness of the lemon, so I can’t quite pick that one out. Teas like this are definitely something I enjoy as long as they’re sweet enough!

I’ll have to make sure to send all my hibiscus teas your way in the future. *shudders * ;P

drank My Green Tea by Milford

It’s pleasant but I’m still looking for a green tea that will taste like the one you get in japanese restaurants, I find the green tea served there is not as bitter as the ones you can buy in supermarkets.

Especially with this one I have to remove the teabag straight after pouring on the water, it’s too bitter otherwise.
