This is one of my favorite green teas. I love the way rose and jasmine work together in a blend. The lemon myrtle is very light and does not impose upon the floral essences, and the laurel provides an interesting balance to the cup. It’s a very relaxing and restorative cup … just what I need after (starting) to clean my art studio (what a mess!)
Preparation
I’s just finishing up a sample of this and it’s VERY beautiful and interesting. It wasn’t much for scent…UNTIL…the hot water hit the dry leaf blend. POW! Aroma!!!! I thought I was walking thru a glorious flower garden! This was wonderful yet a little scary because then I thought it would be too floral or have a funky aftertaste but it was very good! The aftertaste was pleasant and my palate was very pleased. You can taste the gunpowder but you can also taste the flowers! It’s a neat blend!
I like floral true teas like rose and jasmine, but the name of this one scares the heck outta me lol.
The dry leaf blend of this may possibly be one of my favorite flavored black tea smells EVER! A milky chocolate black tea with slight rose hints….ahhhhhh!
The wet leaf blend the rose really comes out and the chocolate transforms into almost a chocolate fudge brownie type scent. I want to eat it.
It’s very dark in color and a little murky.
The liquid itself is mostly chocolate and black tea to the nose.
The taste is mostly black tea with chocolate and floral mixed in – almost enhancing the black tea taste.
This is a good tasting flavored black tea. But what I love about it most is the scent!
I received this one from a fellow reviewer and boy-oh-boy am I thankful for it!
Chocolate + Rose… sounds great, though I have yet to try it. Must smell amazing for sure, but I probably won’t be able to imagine the taste until I’ve had it!
Woah! I added a bit of honey to this tea and wow is it caramely. I guess that’s the secret to bringing out its flavour and sweetness. Yum.
Preparation
My opinion on this tea is pretty much the same. I drank it with milk this time and it did bring out the caramel a tad, but it also brought out the toasty flavour aswell and that seems to dominate the tea. Still, I like that they didn’t go overboard with the caramel to compensate, it tastes very natural this way.
Preparation
I got this tea in a trade with Silvermage2000 along with a bunch of others – all I can say is that she has good taste in tea. :)
The smell of this tea is partially toasty and partially burnt caramel – but a nice burnt, not the yucky, charcoal burnt. The flavour isn’t overly sweet (unlike the title, lol) but it’s more like a nice, light, malty assam with a faint hint of sugar. It’s a pleasent tea to drink, but not anything that I found overly special.
Preparation
2.25g/6oz boiling water. As soon as the water hits the leaves I can immediately smell the chocolate, YUM! Once steeped, the liquor is a dark reddish brown and it smells mainly of chocolate and black tea. When I taste it, as espected, I’m immediately hit w/ chocolate followed by the black tea and then a very faint rose taste that I wish was stronger. The almonds, vanilla, and rooibos don’t necessarily come across as a flavor, but rather as smoothness and sweetness. The only thing I can’t figure out is why there isn’t any strawberries in here, chocolate covered strawberries are very romantic.
Preparation
Wow, it’s really early for me, I am still in kind of a sleepy daze.
But I am enjoying my Masterpiece Chai. I decided to forgo the latte this time, because I’m battling my allergies still and I figured the dairy protein won’t help matters right now. It is delicious with just a drizzle of raw honey though… nice and spicy… just what I need on this sleepy day.
Preparation
I knew that I would be staying up this morning – although a nap would be nice – so I decided to start the day with a tea that would get me going. I usually like to make this one a latte – complete with steamed, frothed milk (yes Cofftea, I do have a frother, I just don’t like to get it out and use it all the time) – but milk just didn’t sound good to me this morning. So I drank it sans steamed milk, but with a nice dollop of honey!
Mmmm… I love how honey enhances the flavors of chai. It really gives a nice definition to the spices of chai. I know that sugar can do this to (and when I’ve run out of honey, I’ve used sugar) as can agave nectar, but, there is just something so perfect about honey and chai.
Preparation
Haha! Mmm… chai… if you ever decide to open your business again you should make lots of killer chais, I’d be your friend for life:) I have a frother too, but I’ve never used it cuz I’m such an amazing klutz. I’m sure my chai mistos would be much better if I did though.
Cofftea: I haven’t tried the chai honey. When it comes to honey, it’s probably the ONE item in the entire supermarket that I wouldn’t go looking for something unusual. For me, I just look for raw honey, local if at all possible.
Chai is a great love of mine as well.
TeaEqualsBliss: Well, it is my own blend. LOL! So therefore I created it to my specifications. :) So, yeah, maybe I am a little biased. Now you know why the Guru won’t let me review my own teas on the tea review blog! haha!
Did I send you some of this when I sent you the Teapigs Licorice and Peppermint? I thought I did… if not, I certainly intended to.
Cofftea: I just visited the ROT website…and that chai honey does look yummy… I bet it’s absolutely awesome on toast. I think it might be a little overkill in chai, but, what a great breakfast – toast with chai honey! YUM!
I agree about the honey and chai! I never had it that way until Golden Moon recommended honey with their Kashmiri Chai, and now I’m HOOKED! Now I’m craving it for tonight :) :) :)
LiberTEAS, if you’re afraid of over kill the vanilla bean looks yummy too- both have actual tea in them. The blackberry sage jam looks yummy too!
JacquelineM, I don’t think I could put it in a chai that was green based… even in part like GM’s Kashmiri… but then again I don’t even really care for milk in my green chais. But you should totally give into that craving:)
After enjoying my breakfast blend and Allergi-TEA this morning (as usual), I decided to treat myself to a chai latte.
Not much more for me to say about a good chai (and if I do say so myself, this is a REALLY good chai!) than YUM!
Preparation
After coming home from my daughter’s school – today was “Donuts with Dear Mom” day – I indulged in a cup of Masterpiece Chai – my absolute favorite chai in the world. A bit of steamed, frothed milk (I actually use half & half because we buy 1% milk which I think is too thin, so I get myself a little carton of half & half for my tea) and honey make this the nicest cup of chai available anywhere (except for maybe India!)
Now that I’m finishing up the cup though, I already contemplating what I shall brew next……
What kind of art do you make?
Hi! I’m a mixed-media / altered arts artist – basically, I’ll collage on anything that doesn’t run away from me! Collage, painting, drawing, polymer clay – I’ll try just about anything. I want to start trying my hand at crazy quilting soon too! You can see some of my art here:

You know, I read that in your side profile as mixed martial arts somehow. lol I’d love to learn to quilt one day too.
