Another one of my new Adagio teas. The first thing that hits me when I open the canister is the sweet odor of coconut follow closely on its heels by the vanilla.
The taste is quite similar in this regard although underneath I can also taste the malty Irish Breakfast. This tea has such a rich, creamy flavour that I feel like I need to look up the nutritional info to see how much fat it contains! ;D
Preparation
Ohhh don’t you just love it when you find a really rich tasting tea? Makes me want to throw it in the faces of all the fat free, no fat, sugar free, flavor free diet food manufacturers and say, “THIS! THIS IS HOW YOU DO RICH TASTE WITHOUT THE FAT. DRINK IT. LEARN.”
This is a Southern summer evening in a cup – sitting on the back porch, breeze off the Gulf, and the smell of the night blooming jasmine wafting through the air. All the atmosphere and flavor, but without the mosquitoes.
I didn’t use anything in this tea.
If you drink your tea without letting it cool off I would highly recommend this tea. It has a nice flavor when served freshly and the scent is nice and strong. As it cools though it seems like the flavor becomes more and more over whelming.
I like it hot.
Cold, it is a little much.
I tried adding less tea for steeping which has made it better but it still hits a point in the cooling process where I consider the tea un-drinkable. It always starts off so nice…
Preparation
WAY too much chamomile. I had one cup and didn’t even bother resteeping before I gave it away.
Preparation
Not bad. The peach taste is pretty subtle, and it mostly comes through at the end. I prefer Lupicia’s Momo (Peach) Oolong, which has a stronger peach flavour and I think balances the tea and fruit flavour a bit better, but this one is quite drinkable. Pretty tin!
