Adagio Custom Blends

Really good! I was a bit worried because I usually find anything with hibiscus too tart, but this wasn’t. A tiny bit of cinnamon/ginger (from the Oriental Spice), not overwhelmingly fruity. Has a good balance of flavor.

Not overwhelmingly fruity. The flavors blend well and seem to accentuate the Ceylon base of the two teas. Enjoyable.

I think I’d like to taste more sweetness from the kukicha. But it is a strongly flavored, vegetal green. Not what I was expecting but I think I might quite enjoy it.

Good tea. Smooth and tasty without being overly sweet or rich. Good dessert tea that isn’t heavy.

First off, I should have checked the ingredients before having this – I need caffeine in the morning so the fact that this is decaf makes me sad. Second, I couldn’t get behind the taste of this at all. It seemed like there was too much going on in the cup – the flavors didn’t blend well. Not my cuppa.

Confession time: I’ve never had pu erh. It scares me. So I was a bit afraid of this tea. Yes, I’m chicken. But this tea was really good! A not-overpowering cinnamon taste in a smooth and mellow tea. Very good!

Couldn’t pick out the flavors but they did blend nicely and have a good profile – not flat or bland.

Sad to find that this is no longer on the Adagio site. :( It’s really good! Just the perfect amount of mint to make it not too overpowering but still have a touch of mint flavor.

Really yummy. Very fruity and the flavors blended well so that there was no real distinctive standout flavor, just a good tropical-ish flavor that made me think of slushy drinks with paper umbrellas.

Brewed for 3mins, though might have been better with 2. Initial taste is the mint with that herbal aftertaste I always get with mint tea that has no sugar. But the white monkey flavor definitely ends it. And as it cools the white monkey seems stronger. Nice.

I admit, I’m not a big herbal fan. The strong red color scared me enough to put in a little sugar. But it still tastes like Theraflu to me. I think herbals and I just don’t get along.

Pretty much a mellower masala chai. Very rich though. Might be a little too rich for me this morning. But good. Brewed it “normally” today and can’t help but wonder how it would be if I made it like I normally do chai. Might be too sweet.

I suspect I used way too much leaf but the green in it threw me off. But it turned out really surprisingly nice when sugar and milk are added. Is a great EG variation. Reminds me of perhaps Czar Nicholas I think. Or something similar. The green in with the black still throws me off though, but good flavor. Might actually have to get a full size of this one.

Used up the rest of my Earl Grey Supreme and made up the difference with Viennese Earl Grey. Very intense in the first cup this morning, yet surprisingly smooth. Working a resteep now, 8 hours later and its still Earl Grey, still smooth, and still good.

Resteep and cloudy mystery solved. The resteep is of this mornings leaves (as reported below). The bergamot is gone (no surpise there), but its still a good cuppa good tea. Brewed with good color, even less astringent, very light flavor and not cloudy.
I realized, as I was resteeping, that the cloudiness was due to the fact that I made a mocha (instant hot chocolate made with coffee) in my mug yesterday and didn’t wash it out…a little extra flavor and who knows what else….

Used up the last of my New Vithanakande and only had about 1/2 what I needed, so I made up the difference with Earl Grey Supreme (all these from Harney & Sons). Darn good! I ended up with a slightly cloudy brew that had an oil sheen on the surface (Earl Grey?) and a mild bergamot taste while hot. About 1/2 sat until it was cold and Surprise! it was very good cold as well. Medium body, very slightly astringent…enough to add some pucker, not enough to consider it mouthwash

Quite lovely. Mint does not take over which is nice …

Intense and flavorful. I’m not a morning person and this really helps.

This was different. The taste was somewhat surprising. I didn’t know the blended flavors and so I tried to guess and ended up with caramel oranges. Which I’ve never had before. And don’t think I ever want to have. (On the plus side, hubby really enjoyed this a lot – so I suppose it is a personal taste thing).

Not as strongly fruity as I was expecting based on smell (thank goodnes) – the fruit actually makes it pleasantly sweet, but it does overpower the other, lighter teas. Not as much as I expected, but more than I’d like.

Camomile is supposed to help you relax. it never really did that for me until I found this stuff with whole camomile flowers in it. it knocks me out good.

This tea and a long shower are part of my hangover cure routine, or whenever I just want something fruity.
