Adagio Custom Blends, Allyson Moisan

Been on an iced tea kick since I figured out how easy it is to make in my french press. I am in LOVE with this tea cold. Its so relaxing and mellow, and with how sunburnt I’ve gotten lately going to bed with something cool in my stomach seems to be bringing my core temp down enough to sleep. At the rate I’m going I’ll burn through what I have of this tea, but probably not as quickly as you’d think. I can still double steep most teas in the french press cold. And that makes me super happy.

This is some amazing tea. It tastes just like a 3 musketeers mint, and thats amazing. A great treat to myself that was a gift from e tax money gods. I bought the tin so I will have it for a while.

I thought this was going to taste like hot green vegetables. Thankfully, I was wrong. It has a pleasant and restrained sweetness of fruit coupled with a slight grassy flavor. It’s rather light and goes well with meals.

I was a little worried when I opened the bag and the floral scent nearly knocked me over. During and after steeping, there was delicious aroma that reminded me off red Starburst candy. Fortunately, the actual tea does not taste overly floral or overly candied so don’t let your nose fool you. This blend is earthy and reminds me of actual fresh fruit rather than something artificial. It has a warm, floral aftertaste that I found pleasant, but it won’t be for everyone.

The bag smells like earl grey. While steeping it smelled like the gunpowder. In the mug it tastes like honeyed lemon green tea that you might drink when you have a cold or sore throat. I’m confused, but I enjoyed the ride.

This one is really toned down and not nearly as spicy or as sweet as you might expect, so some might call it a weak tea, but honestly? It’s zen to me and that’s how I feel about Danny.

The color of this blend is phenomenal after steeping. I dumped the tea and hot water into my ingenuiTea, set the timer, and walked away to do something. Came back when the timer went off and was presented with this deep red violet color that wowed me. So did the scent. I worried it was going to be overpowering on the pineapple/coconut because of the scent, but it’s not. It’s quite juicy and warm, even when iced and tastes closer to juice than any tea I’ve ever had. The taste got better the longer it was in my iced tea glass, too. I’m definitely holding onto this one to brew a pitcher-full the next time I have friends over

I thought I was going to be bowled over by the nuttiness, but it actually tastes more like a warm, nutty cookie than a handful of nuts. The taste lingers so I wouldn’t recommend it as a meal tea, but it’s great on it’s on in the morning or for a desert tea. It’s also very aromatic and the scent hung in the air even after I finished steeping. Someone asked me what I was baking. I usually add a little sweetener if I’m drinking it hot, but nothing when it’s iced. I also stir it a bit and let it sit after steeping. Seems to taste better that way, which I could actually say of most Adagio blends.

This is what I’d call an escape tea. Whether the tea hot or iced, if I need a break from reality, this is the tea that I reach for. It’s comforting and soothing and not surprising in the least. I need that from time to time. Also pie. It tastes like pie. I love pie.

Tastes nearly like a Very Berry Hibiscus Refresher from Starbucks, but it doesn’t leave me jittery from a caffeine overload. The hibiscus is more pronounced when its hot, but when iced, the berries come out to play. It’s different and I enjoy that.

I love this tea so much. It reminds me of a warm, spiced nut that’s been slow roasted long enough to caramelize the sugars. It’s a pleasant and filling tea, but definitely not one I would call immature

Dirty fruity goodness. I get a little overwhelmed by the passion fruit when its lukewarm, but it’s more even keeled when iced or hot. It’s also quite strong in flavor and I really have to be in the mood. Took a couple tries for me to warm up to this one, but I’m still a little wary of it, which sounds about right if you consider the character of Kate.

This bag smelled like a mingle of flowery perfume and a bakery. I don’t know why spices with almond, cherry, and hibiscus works, but it just does. It’s a rather strong, feminine tea and not for the faint of heart.

Smoky chocolate raisin! I love this tea. I also love blending it with several other teas. It’s good hot, iced, and with or without milk and sugar. I just love it.

This one was a bit of a challenge for me because the character has approximately 10 seconds of screen time though she plays a pivotal role. I think I captured her in essence, though. Strong black tea with floral accents and bit of pizzazz from the tropical fruit. Definitely deserving of the Hale name and comparable to Derek’s blend, but not the same.

This is a very strong tea with complex flavors, which I suppose is appropriate considering the character. This was the first time I’d used aniseed and I’m happy with the results because it enhances the taste of the gunpowder green. The orange peels and rose hips bring out the zest of the earl grey and the chai brings the spice. Definitely not what I would deem a hero’s tea, but who needs heroes when you have Uncle Sassy Wolf?

So soothing on my sore throat! Just what I needed. Like with Boyd, I didn’t know quite what to expect. The floral lightness and vanilla warmth are in contrast with the crisp mint. The tea tastes like a soft, melting, after meal mint that lingers. It’s lovely.

Smoky, juicy tang! This tea is like someone took a Shirley Temple and roughed it up a bit. The cherry and gunpowder get along well with added kicks from the pomegranate and the accents. The ginger is just hinted enough that it’s there and adds another dimension, but it does so without being spicy. I really enjoy this one iced and it blends well with several of my Teen Wolf blends.

Honestly? It reminds me of mint-chocolate candy more than anything. The hints of chamomile and lemon grass are nice and give it warmth and a little bite respectively. The taste definitely lingers and it seems to do well hot or iced, but I don’t see the need for sweetener at all.

This blend is so warm, floral, and candied-fruit sweet that I think it will be misunderstood and underestimated just like her character. I could honestly drink it with anything and the best part? It’s decaf. Hello, late night tea that gives me a warm hug. Where have you been all my life?

Jackson is my favorite of the Teen Wolf character blends. I wanted him to be apple pie with a twist and the blackberry along with rose hips and lemon balm definitely add twists. Good ones. So good that I can’t go a day without drinking at least one cup, usually more. I liked him iced more than hot, but it’s good either way. This goes great with the Lydia tea. What a shock, huh?

Strong, dirty, spicy, zesty black tea with a hint of fruit that I can take hot or iced, with or without milk and sugar? Yes, please.

It’s so quirky! But it works. I drink a cup every morning at work — sometimes hot, sometimes iced, sometimes with milk. It’s great for dipping cookies, too. My first round of it came out a little too nutty (I had only mixed it in my kitchen using samplers before then) but now that I was able to add some accents and tone down the almond while upping the chocolate? Good stuff.

Came out nicer than I anticipated. I really enjoy the dry yet fruity taste from the green rooibos. It doesn’t have much of an aftertaste either, which I need from time to time. Especially in an iced tea. I often drink it during lunch.
