6 Tasting Notes
This is the first non-earl grey tea ive tried and i was pleasantly surprised. It features the balanced flavour Ive grown accustomed to in Twinings. It offers a medium yet full bodied taste. I think this tea is a great morning tea as many here have stated. It would do well on the go with a bagel or a full breakfast as opposed to coffee. But could also be enjoyed in the evening after a long days work.
Finally had a chance to try this tea. Has a pleasant floral aroma and initially gave off a strong bergamot scent. Not to worry though this tea is very pleasant. The bergamot is spot on and the ceylon black tea is light and flavorful without being bitter or overpowering. I am more familiar with Twinings earl grey and had been looking for a replacement when my local market stopped carrying Twinings…well I must admit The Tea Nation’s Earl Grey fits the bill…mimics Twinings pleasant flavor almost perfectly. I had also tried Stash teas as a replacement however I was nowhere near as impressed by Stash as I am The Tea Nation. The Tea Nation is a relatively new company to the US though they have been marketing tea in Sri Lanka for sometime. After having tried this tea I feel quite comfortable recommending this tea to anyone. So if anyone has seen this tea and wondered… i suggest go ahead try a cuppa you won’t be disappointed!
This tea for me was absolutely disgusting. Had to pour it out after the second drink. It had a nice scent and initially an ok flavor but the bergamot in this brand seemed to leave a soap like aftertaste almost as if i had bitten into an ivory bar. Needless to say I will not try this tea again
very subtle tea and bergamot flavors. Probably lacking to expert tea tasters or the traditional UK tea drinker but is still well balanced, light flavor and pleasant to drink. After trying several other brands this remains my most favorite cuppa. It never fails to satisfy with every cup. It is because of this consistency in sensational flavour i always keep coming back.
Pretty new to tea drinking. Have been hooked on Twinings earl grey though itself not a particularly excellent tea especially whats available here in the US (ive heard the twinings in the UK is of better quality). However after running out of twinings, all my local market had was this stash earl grey. I find stash to have too much of the citrusy bergamot flavor. They supposedly use a mix of natural and artificial bergamot as do most tea brands but this one really felt artificial…i really prefer the more balanced twinings.
