109 Tasting Notes
Heavenly bergamot with a hint of sweetness. So smooth and lovely and yep, ‘no milk required’ as it says in the description. Teas like this I tend to drink down the whole pot in no time at all. Classic and foolproof
Preparation
Cherry Ripe is Australia’s oldest chocolate bar, turned into a popular classic by Cadbury in 1924.
This tea embodies that choc-cherry, coconutty goodness and while the tea base isn’t the strongest, it’s such a smooth cup that I honestly still like this very much.
This is probably going to be a staple in my cupboard.
Preparation
Ordered a bunch of 95c two-cup samplers from the Adore Tea website. It’s really bugging me that there is definitely not enough tea leaves in each sampler for two cups. In this pack, there was hardly a teaspoon of leaves. So frustrating because when they used to have a physical store in my state, the sampler packs actually were two cups’ worth. Will have to call them up about that.
They also sent me a few that were past the best before date. This one was best before February 2014. Some of those were alright but this one tastes awful.
Chemical and bitter, like what you’d taste if you accidentally sprayed a bottle of perfume in your mouth.
Adore Tea stocks some really good teas so I don’t know what the heck this was.
Preparation
Ahhhhh. I am so very satisfied with this chai.
It’s winter here in the land of Australia and T2 has cleverly launched their Chai project in time to warm us up from the inside out.
Balanced and smooth with a bit of a kick, the cocoa has a subtle presence and blends very well with the spices and orange zest.
Steeped four minutes in a teapot and added vanilla soy. Wanted it stronger so I placed the infuser back in the pot and I’m just letting it sit there now.
Can’t wait to try brewing it over the stove next time
Preparation
Refreshing and mild.
But I’d rather it have been a full choc-mint slice experience than just a minty rooibos with a tiny hint of cocao.
Steeped five minutes but felt it was too weak, so I just popped the infuser back into the teapot and let it sit for as long as it took me to finish it. It brought out the flavours a bit more, but this sample hasn’t really impressed me enough to warrant a purchase.
Preparation
This was a tasty decaf. A little weaker than normal Ceylon but that is a small sacrifice for being able to drink it at night.
This was a two-cup sampler which I used four months after the best before date so I’m sure that a fresh batch of would be very enjoyable indeed. Steeped four minutes and would probably steep for five next time.
Will consider buying a large pack of this as I need to grow my decaf collection
Preparation
Bought a tin of this in loose leaf. I think that’s important to mention, as all the lower ratings on this tea were for the sachet or bagged version.
This Earl Grey Supreme is everything I thought it’d be. There’s nothing new I can add to the body of comments about this lovely drink, only that I am merely another tea lover who is really very glad that she has this in her cupboard.
