I overstepped it just a tad, so it’s a little bitter, but I still like it. It has a savory, veggie flavor, and isn’t too grassy like some green teas can be for me. Really it’s a pretty lovely tea, and I wish Rosali tea sold it individually on their website.
The chocolatey taste reminds me a little of the Shan Tuyet tea I just reviewed. This is a little milder, and the flavors are subtle. It smells and tastes almost toasted, and like many of the teas I like, is gently sweet. I just finished my sample and will likely order more. I like this one a lot as an afternoon tea, because of its mild flavor.
This is a tea I like serving to guests, since I think it’s a very approachable black tea. I find it malty, strong, and not bitter. It also takes milk and sugar well. It’s not fancy, I don’t find it to be very complicated in its flavors, but is hearty and servicable.
