I have been craving a cup of this all last summer and autumn, and am extremely delighted to have it again in my cupboard. The first time I drank this tea was almost 2 years ago but for whatever reason I never got around to reviewing it. Ah well, better late than never…
The dry leaves have an enticing, smoky, sweet and salty aroma to them. I steeped them for roughly 4 1/2 minutes. Tea liquor has a deep golden hue with a strong scent of black tea. The first tastes are of liquid caramel with creamy undertones, supported by the full bodied black base. It has a pleasing, decadent mouth feel. Creme and sugar brighten up the nuances of coconut and toffee quite a bit. I’m not really tasting any salty flavors here, but there is a deep smokiness which balances the sweeter elements of this tea perfectly. Overall, a fabulous tea. By the way, thanks to whoever sent me samples of this, I’m not remembering at the moment. :)
Pretty sure that was me! Could be wrong though… regardless, glad you enjoyed it!
I know I sent you some as well. It was not for me so I am glad it went somewhere it would be appreciated.
