While the atmosphere of this place is nice, the service is NOT. I had to ask the girl who served me to actually serve me, and she was awfully snobby. She made it seem like it was a huge chore for her to bring down teas, and didn’t get excited at all about it. She didn’t know much about the teas, either. Not only that, the teas themselves were not extraordinary. They all had a similar smell to them, which makes me wonder if there is artificial flavouring. On that note, I sent an email off asking for some ingredient lists to the teas I bought, as I can’t find the lists online and they’re not on the package. I’ve lost hope that I’ll hear back from them. Stay away. The teas are not worth the experience, or even worthwhile to purchase online.
Go there, now. Such a great place. Great atmosphere, great service, and best of all, great tea. If you can’t go there, they have free shipping in Canada when you spend $50 or more. So shop away. It’s so worthwhile, I promise. I emailed the store with a question a few days ago, and Dan got back to me within the day. Question answered, I made my way down there with a bit of apprehension, as I always have when trying out a new place. As soon as I walked into the store, my apprehension dissolved and I was awash in excellent tea. I think anyone could find something they love from this place. It’s reasonably priced, and is definitely quality stuff. If you can get down there, make sure to make a special trip because this place is fabulous, and it’s always great to support independent business! I’ll be back as soon as I finish off the many teas I purchased from there (maybe even sooner!).
