I’m not going to give this one a numerical rating, because the reason I don’t like it isn’t their fault. :) This has a super strong anise scent and flavor, although there are other spices and tea in the background. I’m not a huge anise fan, and for some reason thought it would be a bit more subtle. I didn’t get the orange flavor at all. I think if you love anise and a nice spicy tea, this would be lovely – it’s just not my thing. It did get a little bitter, but not terribly so.

I drank the cup because I felt like it must be good for me somehow, as it tasted so medicinal! The scent is kind of odd, but is kind of a creamy rooibos scent with a hint almost of camphor. The flavor, though, tastes like woody medicine with a teensy tang to it. I love lemon, and I’m OK with rooibos, but this is pretty awful. I did brew it stronger than was recommended, as I find Adagio teas to be rather weak, but I don’t think that is the problem here. It really does taste like a medicine, and that’s not what i"m looking for!

This was a yummy treat! It definitely has rich chocolate flavor without being sweet or cloying. To my palate, it was not overly complex, but it was still delicious and I will enjoy it immensely.

I made this for iced tea, and it is delicious. It has a very juicy taste, lots of berries and flavors going on. There is a hibiscus taste, but very faint and not over the top. I think this will be a summer month staple around here!

This tea was absolutely delicious! The dry leaves smell of chocolate and licorice, and the infusion is strong and dark. It’s a strong, earthy tea taste, with an aftertaste of chocolate. It’s deep and layered, like a forest floor, and wonderful!

This isn’t bad, but it isn’t great, either. It isn’t at all sweet, which is nice to find in a chocolate tea. There’s a definite chocolate flavor – kind of more of a scent and an aftertaste than a flavor, but it’s there. Unfortunately, other than that, all I really taste is ginger, and all the flavors are kind of weak. I brewed as recommended, but I’ll try using more tea next time to see if that helps. It is definitely warming in feel, and I do give it points for not having an artificial flavor. But it just doesn’t thrill me.

This is a store brand tea, so my expectations aren’t huge. Bags are individually sealed in plastic, and they are the nylon (or whatever they’re made of) pyramid shaped kind. It is utterly decent for the price and availability (for those of us by this grocery store, HEB), but has nothing particularly remarkable about it. It’s a decent black tea with a faint taste of the mango, and if your budget is $3.00, it’s just fine. I’d prefer to spend a little more and get something better, but I wouldn’t turn this down if it was offered to me.

Meh. Completely meh.

Kind of an ordinary black tea taste with some muddied spices. They were so vague I really couldn’t discern individual notes, just kind of a vague spice flavor. No note of orange peel whatsoever, even though I made sure I had some in my infuser. It’s very flat and one dimensional in flavor. I’ll finish it off, if for no other reason that it’s hard to find decaf black teas, but I’m glad I only bought a sample size.

This was a very simple but very nice tea for me. It had a pretty typical nice oolong flavor, and the grapefruit was very subtle. It kind of changed the tea’s astringency more than the flavor to me – rather than there being a bitterness from tannin, it was a more fruity bitterness. I really enjoyed it a lot. The only reason I don’t rate it higher is that I feel that for something sold as grapefruit, it needed more actual grapefruit flavor.

OK, I know this isn’t “real” tea in the sense we think of it, but this stuff is like crack in a bottle for me. The company began locally, so I’ve been a fan for several years. Every time I go to the grocery store, I treat myself to a bottle of this as a reward for making it through, lol. (Unfortunately, there aren’t margarita machines at the checkout stand…)

For a commercially available, brewed and bottled tea, this company is awesome. The tea tastes like – get this – real tea! And I love this particular one because the citrus flavor is very smooth, more tangerine than anything. I’d love to find a regular loose tea with a similar flavor! It’s super refreshing and not at all cloying. It does have sugar in it, but it’s real sugar rather than HFCS or a sugar substitute, so it doesn’t taste overly sweet to me.
