15952 Tasting Notes
Totally found a wee bit of this left in my cupboard the other day and made this into a cold brew! It was super tasting after getting home later-er this evening and being on my own to try and refrain from making another 129692829743 tea orders for cyber Monday. It’s hard! There are so many teas out there I want to try…I really need to make a conscious effort to do a few more swaps in January to cross things off my list that way.
Ok so I tried this again as a cold brew on a white thinking that might help. Not so much. I it don’t like floral teas. I’m SURE there is someone out there who would love this tea but it is not for me. At least I can say I gave it a fair shot and drop it into my trade box. Yes…I now have a box of teas I need to get around to trading lol
Soooo i feel bad that this is my 500th! tasting note and I don’t have much time to craft it at work today. Release weekend means that we’re having a few issues this morning :( However, i have to say, if you’re a fan of strawberries this is wonderful! I made this as my smoothie this morning and it was fantastic! It was like that perfect strawberry ice cream where the strawberry taste is GENUINE! not that artificial strawberry taste you get from “neopolitian” ice cream.
I picked this up as distinctive and it is pretty much spot on for what i’d want in terms of flavouring level.
I can’t believe that so many people enjoy this one – I got completely artificial strawberry with chemicals and soap behind that. Hopefully I will try it again someday and see what you see! : )
Uniquity – maybe it’s the strength of your matcha? I had that problem with the robust pear matcha that i ordered. or maybe my taste buds are broken lol
ashmanra – it’s still on sale until the end of today! 40% off is better than using any GC’s you’ve accumulated. just saying lol
mmmmmmmmm! Another winner from Stacy! I am totally digging this today as well. I’m a little sad that I don’t have any sweetner here at work as I think that this would be that much better with just a hint of sweet added. This is not a sweet tea…it’s blueberry…that kind of blueberry that is both sweet and sour. I am really digging this as a blueberry tea.
Yay, glad you like it! That one is made up of either 12% or 15% (can’t quite remember which one it was) of crushed freeze-dried blueberries. I think it tastes like blueberry muffins with a touch of sweetener.
OMG. THIS…THIS is a wonderful tea! Seriously in contention with my other favourite blacks (Laoshan Black from verdant and Zhen Qu from Butiki). I could not get enough of this this morning…now that it’s gone i just wish there was more. Thankfully I have a bunch to drink through so a new order is not quite yet ready for me and stacy. heh I really need to get through a few more of the tea i recently (and not so recently) purchased from her. but this one…it’s wonderful!
Backlogging!
So this tea? It’s pretty delicious, but it’s too sweet for me. It really is like a cup of maple syrup, dilluted down a bit. I also sometimes wish Della Terra would get rid of the colourful candy bits they put into their teas. They often don’t add to the flavour and just mess up my brewing baskets.
If you enjoy maple syrup and sweet teas though, this is a good tea. Just a bit much for me :)
