4 Tasting Notes
I loved this one as a latte! Steeped in half a cup of hot water, warm frothy milk added (and topped with whip cream, because why not). It’s rather weak, which works for me since I’m not a huge fan of strong chai blends. But it’s even weaker, too weak, straight. The latte version brings the flavours out I guess. Perfect compliment to Coco Chai Rooibos since I find that one better straight than as a latte.
I think spicy teas are not for me. Smells delicious – like cinnamon candy hearts. Tastes like it initially as well, but then burns my throat in a most unpleasantly way with every sip. I like the spice, like the cinnamon, but not the hot pepper kick at the end. Tried a first and second steep, a longer and a shorter one, but this one’s not for me.
The smell of this tea dry does nothing for me. Smells sweetly alcoholic (more like cookie dough gone bad). But it does taste pretty great! Not overly sweet and definitely aptly named. The smell softens once steeped as well. A good dessert tea. I’d buy again to keep on hand for an after-dinner treat when I’m too full for real cookies.
