WOW!!!!

This is a fantastic tea for a strong cuppa! I carry some around with me at all times because I never know when I am gonna be spending a night somewhere different, and I’m wary of their tea.

Flavorwise, it just depends on how you like it:
w/ milk: smooth, easy to drink, nice to the tongue.
w/out milk: Strong, bitter and great for after eating a big meal.
w/cardamom: like a light masala chai, but smooth.

Recipe with cardamom: lightly crush the cardamom with a roller (the wooden thing for dough. a spoon works, too) and put it in the cup with the bag/loose tea. Make sure the cardamom is opened up and you can see the seeds. Let it steep, the cardamom will infuse.
Tastes light and good!

Funny story how I learned of this tea:
I had to take a driving course and the guy was Pakistani. Since I’m a tea nut, we of course talked of tea. he said “there is a good one called Tapal Danedar you’d like a lot.” he then drove me to a new Eastern World Market near me and I bough a box.
He asked me next time I saw him, “you like the tea I recommended?” “oh, it’s fantastic!”

This is the only thing I get when I go to Starbucks

They shove two freakin bags in there and it will keep you wired for a bit.

It’s so bitter, it makes you paranoid and amazed that Tazo even makes this.

Pretty impressed with it.

Flavor wise, not really gettin much Bergamot, but it’s black. I add milk to mine for some odd reason, but it helps thin it out.

It really is a nice tea in the morning, but not my first choice.

Oh god no. Not the Pu-Erh.

Yeah, this stuff is pretty horrid. it reminded me of Japanese fish treats, which wasn’t good for a tea at all. I highly don’t recommend this tea.

Not that dark, flavor is not that great. It reminds me of some junk thing that stores have as “De-Luxe” tea.

I have the loose leaf tea variety and it really isn’t that great. If you can, get some other earl grey.

Also, it’s not real Bergamot in it. It’s just the flavoring.

It’s fantastic when it’s iced! Warm, meh, but cold HECK YEEEEAAAAHHH. Add sugar to it, definitely, but as a cheap tea, it’s pretty good ICED.

Constant Comment is an interesting tea. It’s kind plain, but it really isn’t that bad.

As a morning, smooth tea, this is good. It’s not overpowering in the morning, which is what I like on the early mornings before class.

All in all, it’s not my favorite, but in a pinch, when you really want something different, this is a good tea.

This really isn’t that great. It’s just not that tasty. If you like the chemically earl greys, go right ahead.

If you’re looking for a rough as nails, plain tea, then this is your bet.

Oddly, it leaves a film on my teeth and I really tired after drinking it.

Tetley British Blend is the classic “Builders Teas”. They have commercials from the 80’s about the bag shape and all the perforations. To be honest, if you’re looking for a good, strong tea to get you going, this tea is one of the classics. When I was over in England for Christmas, this tea was in the house. Sadly, the house flooded when I was there. But, to keep me company in the days I had ahead with all the cleanup, Tetley British Blend was my companion. It’s a cheap, good tea and I recommend it to anyone looking for a good “Builders Tea”.

This tea is one of my favorites. It’s my go to to get a good kick of caffeine and never fails. As a cheap, loose leaf tea it is profound. It’s sharp, it’s tough, it puts hair on your chest and it really is one of the best teas I have in my stash of tea.

Either brewing one cup in a small ball or brewing a whole pot, it really has never let me down.

Highly recommend it for a plain, simple black tea.
Also, in my opinion, you don’t need to add sugar to it. For some reason, when I did add sugar, it made it not that strong, oddly. To each their own, I guess.

For a relatively cheap tea, this tea is surprisingly good! When I first tried it, I was not happy with it whatsoever. But, once I tried it again, it really is pretty good!

If you’re looking for a cheap, reliable, smooth earl grey that’s found at almost any store in the country, Bigelow Earl Grey is a good choice!

Also, it uses real oil of bergamot, which a lot of cheap teas do not! I am greatly impressed with it!

All in all, if you don’t have a box of it, give it a try.
