14 Tasting Notes
I heard about all the amazing benefits of mulberry leaves and wanted to try this tea. Not to mention the dry smell so delicious.
The 3 times I first tried this tea I over steeped it and it was so gross and earthy, so naturally I hated it. But someone made it for me with very specific instructions and now I can’t get enough of this tea!
The hot tea taste is sweet with nutty notes and it is a creamy sort of liquor and taste. I added a bit of agave and a splash of milk (which brings out the creaminess) and it was PERFECT!
I must stock up before I can’t get it anymore!
Preparation
The tea of the month for April, who would have thought they would all be about cakes!
Dry this tea smells amazing. Definitely a cake smell, but there were a bit of lemon notes to it.
I had this as a latte. I have to admit I was so excited to try it but it did live up to what I thought it would be. It smelled so amazing steeped I thought there was cake in my cup. It wasn’t a very strong taste, and Rooibos was the most dominant taste of the tea. There were still hints of cake but not much.
Honestly, I am more excited for Chocolate Cake, I hope it lives up to my expectations.
This is still a yummy tea and I will probably still drink it often. :)
On the outside this tea scared me. Ginger and hibiscus are not my friends. I had to try it though, couldn’t resist the temptation of a new tea.
Hot: It tastes very gingery. I was not a huge fan.
Cold: With agave to balance out the ginger and hibiscus this tea was AMAZING iced!!!! It was sweet and tasted of strawberries but also had a hint of a ginger taste. I would definitely recommend this iced over hot.
YUM!!!
I made this into a latte today. It smells amazing to begin with. As a latte it tastes like warm spicy hot chocolate, which is so good! I was worried because I don’t like many of the chocolate teas but this is amazing and the amount of chocolate is just enough. I will definitely have to go back to get the 100g tin.
