2021 sipdown no. 98
This tea is good, but in relation to the other first flush I recently had from CS, I do prefer the other. This one has that lightly creamy, malty-esque type flavour, with hints of floral hay cut through. There is the most subtle bitterness that isn’t overly bothersome.
The second steep is just as lovely as the first.
I brewed this at 190° F as opposed to 200° F as the higher temperature seemed to induce some astringency.
