129 Tasting Notes
I have never enjoyed a chocolate tea as much as this!!!
It reminds me of chocolate covered raisins with added berries, and creamy vanilla.
But I steeped it about 4 minutes.
I love a good, deep, rich flavor and I cannot for the life of me,
see getting that from a 30 second steep.
It was far worth the extra steeping time for me…transporting me to Heaven.
THIS IS DIVINE ♡
Flavors: Berries, Chocolate, Raisins, Vanilla
Preparation
This tastes rather one dimensional to me.
It isn’t until it starts to cool that you start to get any floral or fruity notes.
This is not a bad tea, but certainly not great either.
I prefer to begin sipping my tea hot…While it did not deserve to hit the drain,
It is undeserving of accolades…JMHO
What a lush and decadent tea
This feels like silk in your mouth and the fragrance
of the tea when your are drinking it is a subtle, floral, Heaven .
This has a divine, but not overpowering fruity flavor
with hints of honey.
The entire experience of my nose in the teacup inhaling deep & slow…
to holding the liquor in my mouth savoring each mouthful,
is delicate, yet intoxicating.
This is a Truly Exceptional tea.
Highest recommendation ;-)
Preparation
Mmm…As soon as I smelled this in the package, I was so excited to try it.
It’s scent and flavor are reminiscent of Kellogg ’ Honey Smacks.
The liquor is about the color of dirty water, but the roasted, sweet & nutty flavor
are extremely satisfying. Enjoying this to the fullest..
It really is awesome~ worth trying…my Dad also says it taste like Honey Smacks
He couldn’t believe that flavor in a tea!
This looks and smells so yummy…even dry…I smell white cake and maple syrup.
So, the sweet cake iness of this blows me away.
I was sure I had reviewed this once before, But I cannot find it.
I remember the first time I had tried this, I was blown away as well
I have never tried Oh Canada, so I have never had a tea like this.
I read one review that said this tasted like every other vanilla tea…
Au contrare…I taste the honey, maple syrup, creamy richness…mmm…
Most of all, I taste a Big white cupcake with frosting and sprinkles and No,
It is not my birthday, but it feels like it.
Thanks Alex :-)
I have been sicker than a dog all day, and I honestly wasn’t up to par for multiple short steepings in my lil gaiwan…So, I opted instead, for 1-45second steeping, and 2-1 minute steepings in a glass pot. Mysterious, earthy and lightly smokey.
I am sure this has many more infusions left and while this particular puerh is not especially complex, it feels to me like classic puerh without any bitterness or other distractions~ straightforward.
This is good
What is this lingering after taste? I can’t truly identify it,
but it’s slightly sweet & understated.
Hope you feel better soon! The “bug” has been around here as well. Yucky feeling to have. lots of good puerh will leave that sweet aftertaste.
What a great tea version of Strawberry Rhubarb Pie…mmm…
I am so sick of Winter, and this tea has me wishing even stronger for Summer
and a fresh, warm slice of Strawberry Rhubarb pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top~
♡ Super Delish Dessert Tea here ♡
I think picking out individual tasting notes would kind of defeat the overall blend taste
for me and this is PURRFECTION
I am going to definitely have to try this, I LOVE strawberry rhubarb pie but have a bit of a rhubarb allergy…but since this just tastes like it I should be safe!
Amanda-We use organic natural flavorings. They often have the real ingredients in them. We use rhubarb flavoring in this blend. If you would like, I could find out if there is real rhubarb in the flavoring.
That would be really helpful! It is not a severe allergy, just makes my mouth really itch annoyingly so who knows if a small amount would have the same effect. Thank you :)
I hope it works for you, Amanda.
Suzi, sounds like you have discovered the yum in Butiki Teas!
This is another fabulous one, and the re steep is lovely as well :-)
Amanda-Just wanted to let you know that I sent in a formal request, so hopefully we will find out in a few days whether rhubarb is used or not. :)
I tasted no lemon or apricot.
It does have what I perceive to be a muscatel quality, but admit I am enough
of a newbie to state I am still very much learning about teas,
especially darjeelings, I was believing that I hated them all (darjeelings)until I tried this one.
By Far the best Darjeeling I have ever tried.
Very pleasant (muscatel? ) aroma…slightly dry, astringent tea…In a good way.
I could be persuaded to try additional darjeelings based on this tea.
Yay! So glad you love it. :)
You are an angel ♡
