12 Tasting Notes
This stuff smells AWFUL before you steep it, but it’s much better when prepared. I was really wary about trying it after smelling it, but hoping for some gastric relief I did anyway, and was pleasantly surprised!
Not only is this a yummy tea, but it certainly helps with my lower digestion. (TMI time??) I suffer from severe gas once a month or so, and this tea is a wonderful home remedy.
Flavors: Peppermint
Preparation
This tastes just like a blueberry muffin, I swear. I brewed it before dinner and had some warm, and it was lovely. Then, we went on an impromptu dinner date, so I put the lid on my mug and left it out. Of course, when I got home it was cold, so I added some ice and off I went. It is just as incredible iced as it is hot.
It’s fairly sweet, and I tend to like bitter teas, but I loved it anyway. Very good.
Flavors: Blueberry
Preparation
I accidentally purchased four ounces of this tea instead of my intended two, and I can’t express how happy I am for it.
It smells like Fireball candies, and tastes that way too, minus the burning tongue. The cinnamon is just perfect. Overall, it’s warm with a touch of sweetness. I’ll likely be nursing this all fall and winter.
Flavors: Cinnamon
Preparation
Sweet but not overly so. The apple is definitely prominent, which is nice, but the suggested serving leaves too faint of a taste to my liking. I will try again using more and update this later.
Overall, it’s pleasant.
Okay so round 2. I added more tea before resteeping, and steeped for much longer. Still a very mild flavor. I guess that’s just the nature of this tea.
Flavors: Apple
Preparation
I had to add this tea, so I hope I did it right!
I got this as a sample from DAVIDsTEA’s Fall line, and am trying it on a fairly frigid morning.
Before it was cool enough to drink, I smelled it and it reminded me of cough syrup. Not a good start.
However, when it had cooled enough, I powered through the smell and tried it. It actually tastes exactly like a Pomegranate Tootsie Pop, which was rather lovely. Every fall I always have a Tootsie Pop in my mouth, so perhaps this will curb my cravings for candy!
It’s definitely a sweeter tea; I don’t add sweetener and prefer more bitter flavors. But if you’ve got a craving for sweets, this just might hit the spot!
Drinking this after a greasy, heavy dinner and movie. It has an incredibly pleasant scent – it actually smells EXACTLY like carrot cake – but it’s a little sweet to me. You can taste the licorice more than I’d like, but it does have a pleasant aftertaste. It’s a nice dessert tea, but I’m not sure I’d get it again.
