58 Tasting Notes
Did I get a bad batch of this or something??? It tastes like burnt coffee to me. I have never gotten that from a tea before. I don’t even smell butterscotch. Ended up sending these bags to a lot of my penpals just to get rid of it. Sorry friends. O.O
I got this in the mail from a penpal in Italy and was instantly in love! Lipton is kind of basic so I didn’t expect much, but this actually tastes like a lemon macaron. I was impressed!
I had to buy myself some boxes through eBay because they don’t sell this in the United States. Definitely worth it.
Aww yissss pumpkin spice with chocolate! I went to Teavana for this specifically. They had it as a sample in the store so I was glad I got to make sure I liked it before buying the whopping 8oz bag they had.
I thought this was more of an infusion but the website tells me there’s oolong involved. Teavana is ALWAYS light on tea and heavy on chunks of other things so that’s not really surprising. It’s not very clear when steeped but don’t let that bother you.
Instagram tells me it’s sakura season so I had to get this tea in the adorable pink tin!
Smells a lot cherry-er than it tastes. Which is probably a good thing. It didn’t taste artificial to me. More like a nice green with a bit of flowery cherry taste. Good for a spring afternoon.
Ok ok, I gave this another shot and it turns out I was doing it completely wrong the first time. The first few times, I had it with just sugar and it as giving me a bitter taste.
I gave a few tea bags t my friend who said she looooved it with milk and sugar. SO. I gave it another shot, this time with milk and sugar. Game changer. Now it tastes much creamier and sweeter. I just needed the milk to cancel out the bitterness I was tasting. I only wonder why I didn’t think of that myself.
Yummm, tastes like delicious Harney & Sons goodness. I’m beginning to realize that I’m going to them for Earl-type variations of black teas (for mornings) and turning towards David’s Tea for rooibos or wacky flavors later in the day.
But my morning caffeinated teas are more essential. I don’t get as much citrus taste as most people are saying, more of just the classic bergamot flavor. And of course, there’s the lovely tin to match my purple and green ones. It’s worth it to spend a little extra for the pretty tins. :]
