176 Tasting Notes
This is probably my favorite flavored black tea from Adagio. Most of their flavored blacks are kind of artificial tasting, with the smell being overwhelming in comparison to the rather weak taste. However, this is wonderful. The smell was divine and the taste was subtle without being weak. It actually tastes like real strawberries, too. I’ll add this to my list of things to re-order once my sample runs out.
Also, I’m drinking this with my new glass tumbler from Teavana. The leaves look gorgeous floating around!
This tea is really floral, perhaps a bit too much for my liking, because the aftertaste is pretty strong. Next time I make it I’m only going to steep it for 4 minutes. It smells wonderful both before and after steeping, and it is definitely going to be one of my favorites.
EDIT: I just finished my cup. As the tea began to cool down, the jasmine flavor wasn’t so overpowering anymore. By the time I finished the cup, I liked it better.
Preparation
The texture is very creamy, with just the smallest hint of grassy taste. It leaves my mouth feeling very smooth, almost like it’s coated in something. Aside from Adagio’s Peppermint tea, this is the most curious sensation my mouth has ever had after tasting a tea. I definitely like this, but I don’t think I’ll drink it too often.
