106 Tasting Notes
I really can’t compete with *Bonnie*’s previous review so I won’t try. I also got this from mrmopar in a tea swap with a few other pu`erhs and msut admit i’m starting to like the stuff. Brewed in gaiwan with rinse 20/10/20/30/etc. infusions until was pu`ewy no more.
Preparation
Dry: Smells very strongly of chocolate
Brewed: Tastes strongly of creamy chocolate with this idk how to describe it flavor.. I suppose its the white tea base the tea just has this complex flavor to it that is just delicious.
Preparation
Smokey chocolaty bergemont oily TERRIBLE earl grey tea
Preparation
I’m positive there’s lapsang in it. I actually found it to be absolutely delicious, but to anyone without a taste for smoke, I imagine it’s not wonderful. I didn’t find mine to be oily though, but IIRC, there were little thingies (candies?) that dissolve in this one, and I find them to leave scum sometimes, which is less than pleasant.
Yeah, like Kittenna said, if there were candies in it the tea tends to get a little bit of a film on it and can be a little oily feeling. That’s the main reason why I don’t order too many Della Terra teas… they like sprinkles a lot. I’m not a huge fan of that, though I can drink them from time to time.
So I gave this tea another try after giving it a 25/100 before for having this perfume taste and this time that was gone – perhaps I had made somethign with rose recently and that carried over? Who knows. But there is this very so slight taste that is just odd. The main thing with this tea though is the apple. The apple definitely comes through and tastes amazing. The caramel is also there and quite tasty. This is definitely now on reorder list.
What a great way to end my day started with an amazing Verdant black tea which was followed by lots of meh tea. Tastes amazing. Unfortunately don’t have muc of it which forced me to place an immediate order. Flavored rooibos for night time is amazing.
Preparation
Tea smelled good dry and made. The tea was quite bitter though. And it was only brewed 3 minutes. Not a fan of my first Nina’s and was glad it came as a sample.
Preparation
New to verdant and they definitely have not disappointed. Seriously. If you haven’t gone Verdant yet – do it. Its so worth it. If anything to treat your taste buds on a special occasion. Or when you’re feeling bad. Or just cause. Just do it!
I have had a few unflavored blacks but nothing nearly this delicious. The flavors listed in the NOTES: chocolate, scotch, caramel, walnut, coconut, jasmine” are all quite present. The coconut is the faintest but there.
I made that one with some vanilla rooibos, and it was good.
