26 Tasting Notes
If you wanna be rollin on ayurvedic herbs, this is your best bet. Definitely gives you clarity and some really excellent energy. I’m using it right now for a light detox week and I can already feel myself pepping up.
Flavor wise… It really is supposed to be like medicine. So it doesn’t bowl you over with awesome tastiness, but it isn’t really supposed to.
Preparation
Am trying to go a bit more ayurvedic to center myself and decided to grab this because it was recommended for pitta dosha people.
Definitely can taste the light stevia, giving a sweet finish and aftertaste. Lovely tulsi aroma and the rose isn’t as strong as I thought it’d be, but it’s still there in the middle of the sip.
All in all, a nice relaxing cup for a Monday morning, but I miss the caffeine in my usual Earl Grey ;_;
Preparation
Just got this from my co-op since I needed a new jasmine tea to fill my empty Andrews & Dunham.
I have to say, I think I prefer a flower-ier jasmine than this, but it’s mellow and decent enough for daily drinking. I think I just miss the A&D a bit more than I should.
Still. Very, very subtle jasmine flavor and it might float the boat of the unflowery lover. It’s only sort of floating mine though.
Preparation
This is pretty darn good, even though I am finding myself less and less into flavored greens (I think it’s because winter’s on its way…)
But this is a great light cup, very flowery (is that magnolia in your back pocket, or are you just happy to see me?) and the little leaves are all curled up cutely. Very pleasing tea. Great for a light afternoon conversation with a coworker.
This is a great Assam. I first had it at a high tea, as it seemed an appropriate way to go. I’m very glad I did.
I have to have this with a couple cubes, but I also have had it with Marsh Flower Honey from a local apiary that really brought out a caramel taste. Super tasty.
Nice rosey-brown flush, smooth flavor… mmm
Preparation
Oh. Oh… Oh. I have a crush on this Captain like whoa.
Super light brew, great flavor without being overbearing (and I like ’em strong) and a perfect way to wake up with the Captain every morning. I like this with my breakfast of hot sauce with eggs~ The Assam has a bit of sweetness that goes well with a bite.
Probably my favorite A&D thus far.
Preparation
I somehow ended up with food poisoning last week and I couldn’t eat anything or really even keep anything but water down. Boyfriend braved leaving me to my own devices long enough to dash out and pick up a box of CS Peppermint for me, since we both thought it’d help.
Help it did. Great, strong peppermint flavor if you leave it to steep 5+ minutes. It really soothes the stomach and throat from the strain of constant hurling. And it’s just straight up peppermint leaves, so it really works as a strongly brewed tincture as well. Great herbal remedy for sour stomach. A pinch of ginger also helps :-)
Preparation
Quite a good brew! I didn’t steep it for as long as they said to, but it was pleasant and light after about 3 minutes and I liked it quite a bit.
Not too flowery, the bergamot is well balanced, and is definitely the finest Earl Grey I’ve had in a very long time.
