Organic Honyama Gyokuro Haku-un

Haku-un is an authentic handpicked gyokuro green tea grown organically at a small scale gyokuro tea garden located close to the Asahina river practically on the boarder of the Asahina and Honyama tea growing districts. Therefore, it could be classed as an Asahina Gyokuro. However, the tea garden is really located just inside the Honyama tea growing district and the grower is a very proud and long establish Honyama grower, so this tea takes on the title of Honyama, not Asahina.

Our Organic Honyama Gyokuro Haku-un has been aged in order to preserve some of the fresh flavor and aroma of Spring and offers a slightly sweeter flavor and fresher aroma than Kin-un. The dry loose leaf is sweet to smell and the tea has a pronounced mineral presence and long amami (sweet, not to be confused with umami) aftertaste.
