From Yunnan Sourcing

From a small tea factory in the southern part of Dali (Wei Shan) prefecture. These high grade tuo cha are a mixture of Lincang and Wu Liang mountain area spring material from 2007. Aged for 6 years, these have lost some of their astringency, but still deliver a pungent aroma and cha qi. A nice slightly aged tuo that is good to drink now but affordable enough that it can be purchased for further aging.

This is a decent dry stored tea that sells for really cheap. It’s not exceptional, but perfectly drinkable. It delivers quite a strong aroma of tobacco, autumn leaf pile and overripe apple. Taste is also pleasant – balanced, spicy and slightly on the bitter side. I could notice some notes of butter, clover leaf and nettle. There is almost no astringency present in the medium bodied liquor.

One thing that surprised me about this tea is how green the leaves look despite the 10 years of aging. The compression is tight, but not extremely so.
