From Yunnan Sourcing

This rare and beautiful tea can only be made from early spring harvest is picked from established plantation bushes in the Mojiang area of Simao. The tea is carefully processed to keep its lovely appearance and guard its subtle sugarcane and malt flavors. This is an incredible and rare tea with an appearance and taste that will dazzle the drinker! Recommend using 85-90C water to brew this wonderful tea. Wash once briefly (5 seconds) and then drink the successive infusions. Keep infusion times very short initially!

Harvest time: Mid-September
Harvest Area: Mojiang Town, Simao Prefecture of Yunnan

Another tea I found while moving and I have to admit, since first tasting it last week I have drunk nothing else and have managed to sip through the entire bag… I need more of this in my life immediately!! I’m really hoping the 2015 is just as tasty as that seems to be all I can get hold of now.. and get hold of it I will!! This tea smells like the most chocolately deliciousness I have ever smelt and tastes like chocolate malty amazingness… Yes, it really is that darn good!!

Nicole

I haven’t had the 2015 but the 2014 and 2013 were excellent. Somehow I missed putting this on my last order.

Thank you for the sale, Ost! The spring harvest of this tea is my FAVORITE lighter black tea. I was hoping this one would be just as good with a little bit more flavor. It kind of is, but the last time I had the Spring harvest, I didn’t use two teaspoons, so it’s a little difficult to compare. But the flavor is perfect for a lighter black tea. The leaves are gorgeous amber orange and very twisty and fuzzy. The flavor is honey, caramel, sweet potato. The three steeps are pretty consistent. I’d always use two teaspoons in the future as less than that isn’t really the same. So so delicious. I’m surprised there isn’t more of a difference in flavor, because I’ve noticed I am kind of sensitive to different harvests. Maybe there really isn’t much of a difference in these harvests though.
Steep #1 // 2 tsps. // 10 min after boiling // 2 min
Steep #2 // just boiled // 2 min
Steep #3 // just boiled // half mug // few minutes

Glad it went to someone that enjoys it more than me! :D
