The ‘Gunpowder’ refers to the particular way in which the tea leaf has been prepared; whole tea leaves are rolled then folded into tiny little pellets of tea. The Pinhead variety is the highest standard because of the tightness of the folding.It conveniently also describes the strong taste of the mint and green tea together.
