Assam Harmutty Second Flush is the strongest of our Assam teas. It is a full-bodied, characterful tea with a smooth, slightly sweet taste that makes it a favourite with our customers.
Assam originally grew wild on the vast flood plains of the Brahmaputra River. Our Harmutty Second Flush is still grown along the vast banks of the Brahmaputra River Valley. The low-lying gardens are extremely hot and humid, perfect for growing this tea. It is picked in May at the Harmutty estate and is generally considered to be one of the finest teas in the region.
Smooth, slightly sweet, malty and robust, for many people Assam Harmutty is the only drink to start off the day.
