Fruity Pebbles Slenderizer

This tea smells amazing. Very fragrant, nice floral tones and a strong fruity overtone.

Even though the name of the tea evokes thoughts of the cereal – it doesn’t taste like it. But it is a sweet, fruity tasting tea, and I really enjoyed it. I like the combination of the pineapple, papaya and strawberry. It’s a really tasty blend.

Green tea also helps with hunger. According to the canister, this one is a Slenderizer, which means that it suppresses appetite and boosts metabolism. Perfect!

Also, now that I’ve scooped the top layer of leaves out and used them before, I now am getting more and more of the fruity part of it. It tastes sweet and tropical during the first steep, and then during the second steep it tastes just like strong green tea.

Yum yum. Excellent dieting tea!

I was curious about this tea when I saw it in the Traveling Tea Box. It sounded like a fun blend, with pineapple, strawberry and passionfruit flavors and rose petals! The dry leaves smell sweet and fruity with a hint of floral rose. The tea has a tropical fruit aroma. The flavor is lightly grassy and floral with a subtle fruity finish. The aftertaste is very strong, and I can pick out pineapple and passionfruit flavors. I added some sugar, but it gave it brought out more of the grassiness of the tea. I’m not sure if this tea is supposed to be named after the Fruity Pebbles cereal or not? I am not really getting a lot of the cereal’s flavor from this tea, but it is still a pretty nice cup of tea for the afternoon!

-Dry blend has large green tea leaves and twigs with pieces of dried fruit and rose petals.
-Dry leaves smell sweet and fruity with a hint of floral rose. Tea liquor aroma is of tropical fruit.
-Tea liquor is a clear medium yellow color.
-Light grassy and floral flavor with a subtle fruity finish. Strong, sweet and fruity pineapple and passionfruit aftertaste.
-Sweetener optional.
-Good tea. Sweet tropical flavor. Not reminiscent of Fruity Pebbles cereal.

This blend is from a TTB but I can’t recall which one. I’ve had it several times but did not finish it off until today.

The green tea is a bit astringent and bitter. I find it drying in my mouth. The aromatics are quite nice, though, because I can make out floral and fruity notes. Distinctly, coconut/creamy and passionfruit as well as what might be rose or general floral notes. The smell is very fruity and vegetal, like matcha. The after taste is where the coconut and rose come in.

A sample I had requested with my order from Tiesta!  I can’t resist a name like ‘Fruity Pebbles’ as I once loved that cereal — I try not to have it too much now because I’m old and that cereal is basically 100% sugar.  The blend here is a long leafed green with fruit bits!  Pineapple, papaya, and strawberry bits, with an addition of rose petals.  I wouldn’t say it specifically tastes like the artificialness that is Fruity Pebbles… but if there was a healthy authentic version of Fruity Pebbles, this would come close.  It’s a fruit flavored green tea.  The fruit takes over any flavor of the green tea.  Mostly pineapple.  No rose notes to be found.  I like it!

This is a nice, refreshing, fruity green tea. It doesn’t taste like the cereal, but I think it is better because it has a fresh, natural taste to it. I do not like the “slenderize” labeling, because I think that might confuse consumers into believing that this is like the “skinny teas” that you see all over Instagram. This is much better than that. I drink it for the flavor, and not for the supposed weight-loss benefits.

Adding the last of this to the travelling tea box, since it was requested. Decided to have one last “goodbye” mug though before sending it along to be tried by others. I found it pretty generic fruity, maybe a bit more papaya and strawberry? Having never tried Fruity Pebbles cereal I’ve never fully been able to speak to the accuracy of the name but for a fruity green tea this is very inoffensive.

First things first, I do not like hot green tea so my only experience is with this iced. And it’s pretty darned good. I made a 64 oz pitcher, so 4 tablespoons of tea. 8 Splenda packs. I like my teas on the sweet side. It’s nice and fruity, but you can still taste the nice green.

Thankfully I found it at Giant, so I can buy more without having to place an order with Tiesta.
