For long years we have been searching for traditional, charcoal roasted teas from Anxi that can meet our standards – both in terms of taste/ aroma but also in terms of pesticides residues.
We did it! Now you can enjoy organic, pure Jin Guan Yin made in classic, vintage style. Roasting over longan wood and long oxidation are key features of old school Anxi Oolongs. This tea is similar to oolongs produced there 20-30 and more years ago! It really reminds me one of charcoal roasted Tie Guan Yin I tasted at the beginning of my tea journey.,, more than 20 years ago.
Taste profile: skillful, low-to-medium charcoal roasting made this tea so special and unique. A the same time, with this tea, you can experience not only notes of honey, caramel, nuts, and cream but also thick layers of flowers (orchid, elderberry blossom), fruits (peaches, litchi). Those fruity and flowery flavors are getting more and more dominant with each next brew.
Aftertaste. It’s genial! Sweet, strong and long lasting. You will find there notes of white flowers and dark grapes.
