When I smell the dry tea, there’s an almost flowery smell to it, which is weird, as there are no flowers in the mix. I guess it’s the mango flavouring added.
Brewed, the spices blend well with the rooibos base. It doesn’t taste as flowery as it smelled, thank goodness (I’m not a fan of floral teas). I don’t taste mango as a distinct flavour of its own, but I do think there is a sweetness to this that can’t be attributed to the cinnamon that helps to balance out the usual woody flavour of the rooibos.
I like it, but I think it will fall into obscurity in my tea cupboard, as there’s nothing earth-shatteringly different about it.
