From Tealish

A delicious fruit tea blend of blueberries, rosehips, apple pieces and blue mallow flowers combine for an infusion that is reminiscent of wild blueberries. Blueberry lovers beware – this tea is addictive!

Ever since I discovered the magic of cold brewing, I feel the need to cold brew every fruit tisane I come across to see how it fairs. So, when MissB sent me a package of this tea I decide to toss a few tsps into a water bottle and wait to see what happens.

The end result? Bubblegum. I am very confused as to how or why but this tea is an accurate representation of the candied bubblegum pieces they put in bubblegum ice cream. It is very sweet (I am so happy there is no hibiscus in sight) and really tasty but the flavor is just a weird thing to be tasting in a blueberry tisane. I am interested to try this one hot to see how that compares to its cold brew counterpart. Thank you so much MissB for this generous sample! You shared enough that I have lots to experiment with so hopefully I find the way I like this tea best.

Ah, I have yet to try this cold. I can see how it would taste like bubblegum! It’s surprisingly sweet.

VariaTEA

It was so weird because I definitely was not expecting it. I will probably try it hot soon to see how the flavor compares. I think since there is no hibiscus, it allows everything else to be sweet.

MissB

It tastes kinda like what I imagined a cotton candy tea to taste like. Hot, anyway. Although I find it better as it cools.

VariaTEA

How random. And I will keep in mind that it’s best when it cools. Thanks again, MissB!

Oh, nice! Fruit teas without hibiscus are so nice to find. :)

I think I’ll have to add a cold-brew column to my spreadsheet to keep track of which ones are good cold. I saw someone mention that in the forum.

OMGsrsly

I need to update my spreadsheet so bad. That’s a good idea, though.

So… have been drinking this a lot of late. It’s a bit sweet cold, but hot? It’s deliciously awesome, like blueberry juice.

I have a bit left if anyone wants me to send some along, I should just grab some more.

Wow this is not what I expected. The apple is really throwing me off! It adds a tart cider-like aspect that I don’t feel jives very well with the berry at all. Phew, is this ever tart! hibiscus much?!?
That said, it isn’t bad… I don’t hate this tea. and when I added some honey it mellowed out some. Next time, I’ll add more so that it’s stronger as well. I can see what the other reviewers mean about it being weak.
Steeping longer doesn’t work, it just gets more sour…

Used the other half of the package to make some iced tea a few nights ago and cemented my opinion that while this tea is pretty good, it’s not worth the money. shrugs. It is sweet and tasty and refreshing, and I am going to enjoy what is left, but it didn’t wow me.

Thanks go to scribbles for sending me this sample. I’ve been wanting to try this out and she was generous enough to go buy some for me.

This wasn’t bad hot, but I really liked it iced and it makes a great iced tea for those days when I’m outside in the heat all day. I work outside a lot during the summer and try to avoid caffeine when I do. The flavor wasn’t as strong as I would have liked, but it was a good mixture of apple and blueberry and had a nice balance between tart and sweet.

Thank you scribbles for sending me this sample. I hot brewed the whole sample – in a few different batches, and put it in the fridge to cool. I have pitcher of iced tea from your sample!!!

It’s blueberry, no doubt about that. It’s a little tart, not too bad though. I find that odd because there is no hibiscus listed on the ingredients. I like it, it’s a fun iced tea. Something I would drink again. Not sure it will make my all time favorite list, but there’s not much wrong with this.
Thanks for letting me try this, really appreciate it.

This tea basically tastes like you’re drinking blueberry bubble gum, and I’m not 100% sure why. It’s my current go-to before-bed tea. Will almost definitely be buying more when my current bag runs out!

(Note: It’s not nearly as sweet when you drink it as it is when you smell it!)

So, I think Tealish has renamed this blend to Blueberry Bliss. Anyway, I’ll post my review here because the photo and the ingredients are the same as the tea I am drinking.
Spring has sprung in my neighbourhood, and this is one of my favourite teas to have at the beginning of the season. It tastes like bright, sweet, fresh blueberries and the hibiscus flavour isn’t too strong. I think it would also make a great cold brew as well, but I’ve been having it hot. I bought a big bag of this tea 2 weeks ago, and it’s almost gone. I will definitely be restocking this one.
