From Teabook

Name: Red Tea | Sunset Red

Origin: Fujian Province, China

We call this tea Sunset Red, reflecting both its magnificent reddish-amber color and warm flavor.

Tasting Notes:
Chocolate, sweet, robust

This fine red tea is robust, sweet, and fresh. The aromas and flavors dance between soft buttery caramels and milk chocolate! Finishes with a beautiful floral taste which lingers a bit on the tongue. A smooth and tasty treat any time of day.

4g/ 70ml off boil short steeps

Nice looking dry leaf. Smell chocolaty and bready. It’s like Jin Jun Mei on steroids. Leaf is bigger and brew is so much stronger even with very short steeps.
It was an interesting session. It didn’t work with my usual hongcha parameters but when I transferred to a big gaiwan it was nice and chocolaty. I agree with Teabook this tea is good grandpa style.
