I was surprised to see Tazo iced teas, and it was very hot out, so I gave this a try. It was much too sweet for me, however I did like the green tea + peach juice combination. I’ll have to replicate this myself with a green tea I want use up and some peach juice. It was tasty and refreshing, but at 150 calories, you can already tell how much sugar they add.
The peaches do taste just like perfectly ripe white peaches, so that’s a big plus. My family loves peaches, and we all look forward to the very small window of “peach season”. The problem, of course, if that peaches grown in most of the world are shipped to Canada unripe and never get very sweet. The ones grown close by that are ripe at picking will bruise and be pilly before they get to stores. It is well known that peaches, along with figs, avocados, and raspberries, have a 1 day window for consumption before they get moldy or pilly.
You can’t buy peaches in bulk unless you plan to eat all of them in one day (I’ve done this many times. If the peach window is closing fast, you can’t be eating anything else!) Anyway, I found this peach juice to be from high quality (ripe but not bruised or overripe) peaches and I appreciate that.
